Levenhuk Rainbow 8x25 Lime Monocular

• Compact 8x25 format: The slim monocular is easy to carry in a jacket pocket or small bag, giving you useful reach for sports, walks, travel, and casual wildlife observation without the bulk of larger optics.
• Wide 144.00 m/1000m field of view: A broad view makes it easier to follow moving subjects, scan a landscape, or keep track of action at events instead of constantly repositioning the optic.
• Fully multicoated optics: The coatings help preserve brightness and contrast, so the image stays clearer and more comfortable to view in daylight and in mixed lighting conditions.
• 3.00 m close focus: The short minimum focus distance lets the monocular work well not only for distant scenes, but also for nearby details such as exhibits, architectural features, or birds at close range.
• Lightweight plastic body with nitrogen filling: The housing keeps weight down for everyday carry, while the nitrogen-filled interior helps reduce internal fogging during normal changes in temperature.

About the Levenhuk Rainbow Series

The Levenhuk Rainbow series was introduced on October 1, 2018 as a line of compact monoculars built around simple handling, bright styling, and everyday portability. The series is aimed at a broad audience, including sports spectators, bird watchers, outdoor festival visitors, and children, so the design focuses on low weight and straightforward use rather than technical complexity. Across the range, the monoculars share an 8x magnification and 25 mm aperture, a combination that gives enough reach for casual observation while remaining easy to carry for travel and day trips.

Levenhuk positions the Rainbow models as practical companions for general outdoor viewing, with a wide field of view and a short close-focus distance that make them flexible in crowded venues and open spaces alike. The series uses BK-7 glass optics with fully multilayer-coated optical elements, helping maintain a clear, bright image for daytime use. Distinctive color options such as Lime, Red Berry, Sunny Orange, Blue Wave, and Amethyst give the series a more casual look than traditional black field optics, which suits family use, travel, and recreational observation.

About the Levenhuk Rainbow 8x25 Lime Monocular

The Levenhuk Rainbow 8x25 Lime Monocular is a compact observation tool built for users who want more reach than the naked eye without carrying a full-size binocular. Its 8.00 x magnification is strong enough to bring distant details closer at sporting events, on sightseeing walks, or during casual bird and nature observation, while the 25.00 mm objective lens keeps the body small and easy to pack. This balance makes it especially suitable for travel, urban outings, and other situations where space and weight matter.

A key strength of this model is its 144.00 m/1000m field of view, which helps when tracking moving subjects or scanning a broad scene. Instead of feeling tunnel-like, the image stays open enough for comfortable general observation. The 3.00 m close focus also adds versatility, allowing the monocular to handle nearby subjects more easily than many compact optics. For practical everyday use, that means one optic can cover distant landmarks and closer points of interest without constant compromise.

The optical system uses fully multicoated lenses to improve light transmission and preserve contrast, which is especially useful in variable daylight and shaded conditions. A 3.10 mm exit pupil supports a comfortable daytime view, while 9.30 mm eye relief keeps the eyepiece compact. The plastic housing helps keep weight down, and the nitrogen-filled construction is a useful detail for reducing internal fogging during routine outdoor use. Finished in a distinctive Lime color, this monocular stands out visually while remaining practical as a lightweight field companion.

About Levenhuk

Levenhuk began operations in 2002, initially focusing on markets outside the United States. The company describes itself as an American manufacturer of optical instruments with headquarters in Tampa, Florida, and says its manufacturing facilities are in China. Its catalog covers a broad range of observation equipment, including binoculars, spotting scopes, telescopes, monoculars, and microscopes, which places the brand firmly in practical consumer and enthusiast optics.

Within sport optics, Levenhuk has developed several binocular lines such as Atom, Karma, Sherman, and Vegas, while also expanding into more specialized devices including Fatum thermal scopes and Halo and Atom Digital night-vision devices. The company’s range shows a focus on accessible optical tools across traditional and electronic categories. In higher-grade models, Levenhuk also uses technologies such as extra-low-dispersion glass in the Vegas ED series to reduce chromatic and optical aberrations.
