Leupold Mark 5HD Competition Speed Dial

• Enlarged elevation numbers: the larger first row of markings is easier to read at a glance, helping shooters confirm settings quickly during timed stages and position changes.
• Push-button ZeroLock: the dial stays locked until deliberately released, reducing the chance of accidental elevation changes while moving between barricades, props, or firing points.
• Two revolutions of elevation adjustment: the dial gives a broad adjustment range in a compact format, making it practical for competition rifles that need fast corrections across varying distances.
• Aluminum construction: the metal body keeps weight reasonable while providing the durability expected from a riflescope accessory that is handled frequently on match rifles.
• Built for Mark 5HD competition use: this accessory is designed around fast target engagement and repeatable turret handling, making the scope quicker to run under match pressure.

About the Leupold Accessories Series

Leupold Accessories covers the supporting equipment that extends the usefulness of the company’s optics in the field and on the range. Within Leupold’s broader catalog of hunting, shooting, and outdoor gear, these accessories are built to complement riflescopes and related equipment rather than duplicate their function. The series includes practical add-ons that improve handling, protection, transport, and day-to-day usability, with an emphasis on straightforward fit and dependable construction.

In use, the range is aimed at shooters who want their optics set up for a specific task, whether that means better protection in transit, faster manipulation on the firing line, or a more efficient carry system in the field. The design approach is typically simple and purpose-driven: durable materials, compatibility with established Leupold platforms, and features that solve a clear problem without adding unnecessary bulk. For competition and precision shooting in particular, Leupold Accessories helps tailor an optic to the pace and demands of the discipline, turning a standard scope setup into one that is easier to operate under time pressure.

About the Leupold Mark 5HD Competition Speed Dial

The Leupold Mark 5HD Competition Speed Dial is a purpose-built riflescope accessory for shooters who need to read and adjust elevation quickly during a stage. Its defining feature is the enlarged first row of numbers, which makes the dial easier to interpret from awkward shooting positions or under the time pressure of practical and precision rifle competition. Instead of slowing down to confirm a small marking, the shooter gets a clearer visual reference and can return to the rifle faster.

This model also uses Leupold’s push-button ZeroLock, a practical safeguard for match use. When moving between props, dropping into position, or carrying the rifle between stages, the dial is less likely to shift unintentionally. That matters on competition rifles, where even a small accidental movement can cost points or force a correction on the clock. The dial provides two revolutions of elevation adjustment, giving enough range for meaningful distance changes while keeping operation direct and familiar for shooters already running a Mark 5HD setup.

Its aluminum construction suits the role well, offering the durability expected from a frequently handled turret component without adding unnecessary mass. Finished in black and made in the USA, this accessory is best understood as a handling upgrade: it does not change the optical system, but it makes a compatible Mark 5HD riflescope faster to run, easier to verify, and more secure in dynamic competition use.

About Leupold

Leupold & Volpel was founded in Portland, Oregon, in 1907 by Fred Leupold and Adam Volpel. The company later introduced its first riflescope, the Plainsman in 1947, establishing the product category that remains central to the brand today. Leupold also introduced the Duplex reticle in 1962, a design that became widely recognized among hunters and shooters for its practical sight picture.

Today, Leupold & Stevens, Inc. is headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon and remains family-owned. Its product range includes riflescopes, red dot sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, rangefinders, and thermal optics, with strong recognition in both hunting and tactical shooting. The company’s Mark-series optics are especially associated with precision and tactical applications, while its broader lineup reflects long experience in building sport optics for field and range use.
