Vantage binoculars use fully coated optics and BAK-4 roof prisms to keep image quality solid at a lower price point, housed in a lightweight polycarbonate body with rubber armour for a secure grip and reasonable knock resistance. The range is nitrogen-purged for waterproof, fogproof performance, and comes supplied with a neck strap and padded carry case for everyday protection and storage.

The Vantage 12x50 is the highest-magnification model in the Vantage range, pairing 12x magnification with a 50 mm objective lens to bring distant subjects in close while retaining a 4.2 mm exit pupil that keeps the image usable in reasonable light. It suits users who prioritize maximum reach over field of view or compactness.

The fully coated optics and BAK-4 roof prisms deliver a clear, reasonably sharp image for the price point. The 5° field of view (88 m at 1000 m) is the narrowest in the Vantage range, the usual trade-off for the highest magnification, and a close focus distance of 2.5 m allows the binocular to be used for reasonably close subjects as well as distant viewing. A steady hand or support helps make the most of the added magnification.

The binocular features twist-up eye cups with position stops for adjustable eye relief and a right-eye dioptre adjustment to compensate for differences between the user's eyes. An adjustable interpupillary distance of 61-75 mm accommodates a wide range of users, and a built-in 1/4"-20 UNC tripod thread is especially useful at this magnification for steadying the view.
