Hawke Endurance 30 WA SF 4-16x50 Product description

  • Exposed Locking Resettable Turrets with Side Focus Parallax: Unlike the capped turret models elsewhere in the Endurance 30 WA lineup, the 4-16x50 SF features exposed, locking, resettable elevation and windage turrets, giving the shooter direct access to adjustments in the field. The side-mounted parallax knob covers 14 metres to infinity, allowing precise parallax correction across a wide range of hunting distances without breaking the firing position — a meaningful practical addition at higher magnification settings where parallax error is more visible.
  • Ultra-Wide 24° Field of View at Minimum Magnification: The H5 optical system provides a field of view of 10.4 metres at 100 metres at 4× — a notably broad sight picture for a scope in the 4–16× class, supporting fast target identification and tracking in driven hunting, woodland, and mixed-terrain shooting before increasing magnification for a more deliberate shot.
  • LR Dot Reticle Calibrated at 8×: The LR Dot is a second focal plane reticle with holdover aim points calibrated at 8×, the scope's designated reference magnification. At this power, all subtension values correspond directly to the stated distances, enabling reliable holdovers at known ranges without dialling the turrets for every shot — a practical design well suited to general hunting use across varied terrain.
  • Multi-LED High Intensity Illuminated Reticle: The reticle centre is illuminated via multi-LED high intensity technology with 6 red brightness levels and off positions between each step, controlled via a stepped rheostat. This provides a clearly visible aim point across a range of ambient light conditions, from midday overcast shooting through to low-light hunting at dawn and dusk, without overshooting to a level that obscures the target background.
  • 50mm Objective Lens with H5 Optical System: The 50mm objective lens combined with high-grade, low-dispersion crown glass and 18-layer fully multi-coated lenses delivers high light transmission and a bright, high-contrast image across the magnification range. An exit pupil of 12.5 mm at 4× supports image brightness in low-light field conditions — most critical during the early morning and late evening hunting periods when ambient light is limited.
  • High Volume Eyebox with 102mm Eye Relief: The high-volume eyebox reduces the precision required for consistent head placement when acquiring a sight picture — a practical advantage in dynamic hunting situations where there is limited time to position the eye precisely. The 102mm of eye relief provides comfortable clearance across a wide range of rifle platforms and shooting positions, including when wearing heavy clothing in cold weather conditions.
  • Sealed and Nitrogen Purged Construction: The 30mm aluminium mono-tube is fully sealed and nitrogen purged, providing waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof performance rated for all calibres — ensuring reliable function in rain, mist, and across rapid temperature changes between environments typical of varied hunting conditions.

About the Endurance 30 WA Series

The Hawke Endurance 30 WA series is a range of hunting riflescopes built on the H5 optical system within a 30mm aluminium mono-tube chassis, designed for hunters who require a versatile, reliable optic across a range of disciplines and distances. The series sits within Hawke's mid-tier Endurance product family, distinguished from the Endurance 30 FD series by its use of multi-LED high intensity illumination with a stepped rheostat control rather than digital fibre optic illumination.

All Endurance 30 WA models feature high-grade, low-dispersion crown glass with 18-layer fully multi-coated lenses, a high-volume eyebox, and 102mm of eye relief. The series is characterised by its ultra-wide 24° field of view at minimum magnification — a consistent optical characteristic across all models that supports fast target acquisition in driven hunting, woodland, and mixed-terrain scenarios. All models use second focal plane reticles with holdover aim points calibrated at a specific reference magnification, suited to hunting applications where the zero is set at the range and maintained through the field season.

The Endurance 30 WA lineup includes four configurations: the 1.5-6x44 (L4A Dot) for close-range and driven hunting, the 2.5-10x50 (LR Dot) as a general-purpose hunting model, the 3-12x56 (LR Dot) for hunters who prioritise low-light performance and a larger objective, and the 4-16x50 SF (LR Dot) for applications requiring higher magnification, side focus parallax adjustment, and exposed turrets.

About the Model (Hawke Endurance 30 WA SF 4-16x50 LR Dot)

The Hawke Endurance 30 WA SF 4-16x50 is the most technically specified model in the Endurance 30 WA lineup, adding side focus parallax adjustment and exposed, locking, resettable turrets to the core Endurance 30 WA platform — features that are not present on the fixed-parallax, capped-turret models elsewhere in the series. This makes it the most suitable Endurance 30 WA variant for hunters and shooters who regularly engage targets at varying distances and prefer to correct parallax and dial adjustments in the field rather than relying solely on holdovers.

The 4–16× magnification range provides a practical 4× zoom ratio starting from 4×, which gives a field of view of 10.4 metres at 100 metres — broad enough for fast target acquisition in driven hunting and woodland shooting — while the 16× upper end delivers adequate image resolution for precise shot placement at extended hunting distances in open terrain. At higher magnifications, the side focus parallax adjustment becomes particularly useful, as parallax error is more apparent and a precise correction ensures the reticle remains accurately superimposed on the target.

The 50mm objective lens, combined with the H5 optical system and 18-layer fully multi-coated lenses, provides high light transmission and a bright, high-contrast image across the magnification range. An exit pupil of 12.5 mm at 4× ensures a bright sight picture at minimum magnification during low-light field conditions. The high-volume eyebox and 102mm of eye relief allow comfortable, fast acquisition across a range of head positions and shooting stances.

The LR Dot reticle is a second focal plane design with holdover aim points calibrated at 8×. At this reference magnification, all subtension values correspond directly to the stated distances, enabling reliable holdover shooting. The reticle centre is illuminated via multi-LED high intensity technology with 6 red brightness levels and off positions between each step. The exposed elevation and windage turrets are locking and resettable, each offering 75 MOA of total adjustment travel in ¼ MOA click increments. The fast-focus eyebell allows rapid dioptre adjustment to match the shooter's vision. The mono-tube is nitrogen purged and fully sealed, providing waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof performance rated for all calibres. Overall length is 369 mm and weight is 644 g.

About Hawke

Hawke Optics is a British optics brand registered in England and Wales, with products distributed across Europe, North America, and international markets. The company produces a broad range of optical products including riflescopes, airgun scopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, red dot sights, and laser rangefinders, covering applications from hunting and precision shooting to nature observation and marine use.

Hawke organises its riflescope lineup into distinct optical system tiers — from the entry-level H2 through H5 to the flagship H7 — with each tier reflecting the glass specification, coating technology, and mechanical feature level of the products within it. The Endurance series is built on the H5 system, representing the mid-tier of Hawke's product range and covering riflescopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, red dot sights, and laser rangefinders across a wide range of outdoor applications.
