GRS Bifrost Composite Stock, Strasser RS700

• SpeedLock II adjustment: Tool-free cheekpiece and length-of-pull adjustment make it easier to set the rifle to the shooter, which helps maintain a repeatable head position and steadier trigger control.
• Fiberglass-reinforced composite construction: The stock combines low maintenance with weather resistance, making it a practical choice for hunting and competition use in changing field conditions.
• Ergonomic grip and textured contact surfaces: The grip shape and added texture improve control when shooting from improvised positions or when hands are wet or gloved.
• No bedding required: The action can be installed and torqued to 5.20 nm without a bedding job, simplifying setup and reducing time before the rifle is ready to re-zero.
• Varmint barrel channel and .375 HH capacity: The 0,86 in (22 mm) barrel channel supports heavier barrel profiles, while the stock is built to handle cartridges up to .375 HH.

About the GRS Bifrost Series

GRS introduced the Bifrost in 2019 as part of its composite-and-chassis stock range, aimed at shooters who want more adjustment than a conventional hunting stock without moving to a full competition chassis. The series is intended for stalking, long-range hunting, and competition shooting, so its design balances field portability with the fit and control needed for precise shooting from supported positions.

The Bifrost uses a fiberglass-reinforced composite body and the GRS SpeedLock II adjustment system, allowing fast changes to cheekpiece height and length of pull. That matters in practice because a stock that fits properly helps the shooter build a consistent position behind the optic, especially when switching between hunting clothing, range use, and different shooting supports. The series also stands out for its rubberized grip and fore-end surfaces, which improve purchase in wet or cold conditions, and for a recoil pad that adjusts for height and cant to fine-tune shoulder fit. Across the range, the Bifrost is built as a rugged, low-maintenance platform for modern bolt-action rifles.

About the GRS Bifrost Composite Stock, Strasser RS700

The GRS Bifrost Composite Stock, Strasser RS700 brings the Bifrost concept to the Strasser RS700 platform in a right-hand configuration, giving that rifle a more adjustable and field-ready stock for alpine hunting, stalking, and competition use. Its 380.00 mm length of pull, adjustable cheekpiece, and SpeedLock-based fit system make it easier to align the eye naturally behind a scope, which is especially useful when shooting from prone, from a bipod, or across uneven terrain where body position changes from shot to shot.

The stock body is made from composite material and weighs 1350.00 g, keeping the setup manageable while still providing the rigidity expected from a precision-oriented hunting stock. The 800.00 mm overall length and 57.00 mm fore-end width give the rifle a stable front section that sits well on bags, packs, or other improvised supports. The Varmint 0,86 in (22 mm) diameter barrel channel also makes the stock suitable for heavier barrel contours, which can be beneficial on rifles set up for extended strings or more deliberate long-range work.

In practical use, the Bifrost design reduces setup complexity. Bedding is not required, so the action can be installed and torqued to 5.20 nm before re-zeroing. Added grip texture improves control in poor weather, and the stock is rated for calibers up to .375 HH, giving it the strength for a wide range of hunting and sporting rifle builds.

About GRS

GRS traces its history to 2010 in Grodås, Hornindal, Norway, while the family business behind it began earlier, in 1983 as Grodås Møbler AS, a furniture manufacturer. That background helps explain the company’s focus on stock shape, fit, and ergonomics. Today, GRS Riflestocks AS is headquartered in Hornindal and specializes in rifle stocks for hunting and shooting.

The company’s range includes the Hunter Light, Sporter, Bifrost, Fenris, Warg, and Ragnarok lines, covering laminate, composite, and aluminum chassis designs. GRS is particularly known for adjustable stock systems such as GRS SpeedLock, developed to let shooters change fit quickly and repeatably. Its experience in both traditional stockmaking and modern materials has made GRS a recognized name among shooters looking for ergonomic rifle stocks with practical field adjustment.
