ERA-TAC picatinny rail - Howa 1500 Long

• Model-specific fit: Built for the Howa 1500 Long, this rail gives a correct receiver interface for secure optic mounting without improvised adapters or universal compromises.
• Picatinny platform: The rail provides a standardized mounting surface for a wide range of riflescopes, red dots, and other compatible optics, making it easier to configure the rifle for hunting or range use.
• Aluminium construction: The aluminium body keeps weight down while still providing the rigidity needed to hold zero under regular field and shooting use.
• 0 MOA inclination: With a 0 MOA profile, the rail keeps the optic in a neutral position that suits general-purpose setups and straightforward sight-in at typical sporting distances.
• Low 6.50 mm build height: The compact height helps keep the optic closer to the bore, which supports a more natural cheek weld and a cleaner overall rifle setup.

About the ERA-TAC Picatinny Rails Series

ERA-TAC Picatinny Rails are part of the manufacturer’s dedicated mounting range for bolt-action rifles, designed for shooters who want a solid and model-specific base for modern optics. The series covers short- and long-action rifle fitments, with versions tailored to individual rifle models rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. That matters in practice because correct receiver fit is the foundation of repeatable alignment and dependable optic mounting.

Within the range, ERA-TAC offers rails in high-grade aluminum and steel, with aluminum models finished in black anodizing and steel versions in a blued finish. Some variants are available with 20 MOA inclination for shooters who need additional elevation reserve for longer distances, while long versions are intended to move optics farther forward for setups that include night-vision devices or head-mounted systems. Across the series, the design philosophy is straightforward: a rigid rail that screws directly onto the receiver, uses the familiar Picatinny format, and gives hunting, sport, and tactical rifles a stable interface for optics and accessories.

About the ERA-TAC picatinny rail - Howa 1500 Long

The ERA-TAC picatinny rail - Howa 1500 Long is a dedicated mounting base for the Howa 1500 Long, intended for shooters who want a clean, reliable way to fit Picatinny-compatible optics to this rifle platform. Its main advantage is not complexity, but correct geometry: a rail shaped for the receiver gives the optic a stable foundation, which is essential for maintaining alignment and preserving zero after installation and regular use.

This version uses an aluminium body with a black finish, combining low weight with the stiffness needed for a practical field rifle or range setup. The 0 MOA inclination makes it well suited to general-purpose riflescope mounting, especially where the priority is a neutral optic position rather than added cant for extended-range dialing. With a 6.50 mm build height, the rail keeps the optic relatively low over the action, which helps support a more natural head position behind the rifle and can simplify scope setup with conventional stock dimensions.

Its dimensions, including B 113.9 mm, reflect the longer receiver fitment and provide enough mounting surface for flexible ring placement. In practical terms, that helps when balancing eye relief, turret clearance, and overall optic position. For a Howa 1500 Long used with a riflescope or other Picatinny-compatible sight, this rail serves as the essential interface between rifle and optic: simple in concept, but critical to a dependable mounting system.
