EAW Roll-Off Mount for Bernardelli BBF

• Weapon-specific fit: Made for the Bernardelli BBF, this base gives the mount a correct interface to the firearm, which helps maintain secure positioning and consistent scope alignment.
• Roll-off design: As part of the EAW Roll-off Mounts family, it supports a removable scope setup, making it practical for shooters who want to detach and reinstall an optic without changing the character of the firearm.
• Steel construction: The steel body adds rigidity and wear resistance at the mounting interface, which is important for long-term stability on a hunting gun that sees repeated mounting and removal.
• Low 8.20 mm height: The compact build keeps the optic close to the barrel line, supporting a more natural sight picture and a cleaner overall setup on a break-action firearm.
• 0 MOA inclination: With no built-in tilt, this base suits straightforward hunting and general shooting applications where a neutral mounting angle is preferred.

About the EAW Roll-off Mounts Series

EAW Roll-off Mounts sit in the manufacturer’s range as a practical, more economical alternative to its pivot mounts, while still following the same emphasis on precise machining and dependable fit. The series is intended for shooters who want a removable scope mounting system without moving into a more complex premium design. In use, the main advantage is simple: the riflescope can be taken off and reattached, which suits firearms that may alternate between optical sights and open sights or that need a compact profile for transport.

The series includes one-piece and two-piece configurations, with versions for different firearm interfaces, including dovetail and Picatinny-based solutions. EAW also offers variants for lighter firearm setups and for rifles with integrated cylindrical or conical dovetails. Depending on the model, the system may use pivot-mounted rings or prisms and side support, while some versions are intended for fixed installation and others for repeatable attachment with lever locks. Across the range, the design philosophy stays consistent: repeatable scope positioning, solid mechanical engagement and a format that keeps the mount practical for traditional hunting firearms as well as lighter sporting setups.

About the EAW Roll-Off Mount for Bernardelli BBF

The EAW Roll-Off Mount for Bernardelli BBF is a weapon-specific base designed for shooters who want to equip this break-action firearm with an optic while preserving a clean, mechanically secure installation. Because it is made specifically for the Bernardelli BBF, the base is shaped around the firearm interface rather than relying on a universal compromise. That matters in practice because a correct fit is the foundation for stable optic alignment and dependable long-term use.

The use of steel construction gives this mount base the strength expected from a critical connection point between firearm and scope mount. On a hunting gun, where the optic may be removed and reinstalled over time, that added rigidity helps the interface resist wear and maintain consistent engagement. The 8.20 mm height keeps the setup low, which generally supports better handling, a more natural cheek position and a neater overall profile than a taller base would. With 0 MOA inclination, the mount stays neutral in its geometry, making it well suited to conventional hunting distances and general-purpose sighting setups rather than specialized long-range correction. In short, this EAW base is built for shooters who value a precise firearm-specific fit, durable steel construction and the practical flexibility of the roll-off mounting system.

About EAW

EAW traces its origins to 1919, when Ernst Apel founded the company in Würzburg, Germany. The business developed its first riflescope mounts in 1945, and since 1951 mount development and production have been its main focus. In 1923, Ernst Apel acquired Elektro-Dental-Werke Frankfurt and changed the EDW brand to EAW, meaning Ernst Apel Würzburg.

Today, the company is headquartered in Eibelstadt, Germany, following a production move from Würzburg to Gerbrunn in 1970. EAW is known for building pivot, slide-on or roll-off, and claw mounts for riflescopes, with a product range that also includes tactical mounting solutions and thermal imaging devices. Within the optics and hunting market, the brand is closely associated with German-made mounting systems that focus on precise fit, repeatable attachment and compatibility with a wide variety of firearm platforms.
