Crimson Trace Brushline Pro 3-9x40 BDC-Muzzleloader

• CT Custom BDC Muzzleloader reticle: the holdover pattern is calibrated for muzzleloader use, giving practical aiming references at longer distances without covering too much of the target.
• 3-9x magnification range: low power keeps the sight picture quick and easy to manage in woods or broken terrain, while 9x gives enough precision for careful shot placement when distance opens up.
• 5 in eye relief: generous eye relief helps maintain a safer, more forgiving shooting position on heavier-recoiling setups and makes it easier to stay comfortable behind the scope.
• Fully multi-coated 40 mm objective: the optical system is built to improve light transmission and contrast, which helps the reticle stay usable in the low-light periods when game is often most active.
• Capped turrets and 1-inch aerospace aluminum tube: this combination keeps the scope light and field-friendly while protecting adjustments from accidental movement during transport and hunting use.

About the Crimson Trace Brushline Series

The Crimson Trace Brushline series is positioned as a hunting riflescope family built around practical magnification ranges, straightforward controls, and reticles tailored to real field use. In the standard Brushline line, Crimson Trace offers 3-9x and 4-12x configurations with 40 mm or 50 mm objective lenses, giving hunters options that suit both compact carry rifles and setups intended for longer shots from stands or open ground.

A defining trait of the series is its use of second focal plane reticles in 1-inch tubes, paired with non-illuminated layouts that keep the image uncluttered and the scope easy to operate. Depending on the model, the line uses CT Custom BDC and CT Custom BDC Rimfire reticles, including the distinctive diamond aiming references used in the standard BDC design. That approach reflects the Brushline philosophy: give the hunter useful holdover references without turning the scope into a complex target optic. Across the series, the emphasis stays on familiar hunting ergonomics, sensible magnification, and optical performance suited to dawn, dusk, and general-purpose field shooting.

About the Crimson Trace Brushline Pro 3-9x40 BDC-Muzzleloader

The Crimson Trace Brushline Pro 3-9x40 BDC-Muzzleloader is a hunting riflescope configured specifically for muzzleloader use, combining a versatile 3-9x magnification range with a CT Custom BDC Muzzleloader reticle. That pairing makes the scope especially useful for hunters who need one optic that can handle close woodland shots at lower power and more deliberate aiming across fields or cutovers at higher magnification. Because the reticle is calibrated for the platform, it offers more relevant holdover references than a generic duplex-style design.

The optical layout uses a 40.00 mm objective lens and fully multi-coated glass, a practical combination for maintaining a bright, usable image without adding unnecessary bulk. With a field of view from 11.30 m/100m to 3.70 m/100m, the scope remains manageable when scanning at low power and more precise when the magnification is increased. Its 127.00 mm eye relief is a major advantage on harder-recoiling hunting firearms, giving the shooter more room behind the ocular and helping maintain a confident shooting position.

Mechanically, this model stays focused on reliability and simplicity. The capped turrets protect the adjustments from being bumped in the field, while the 1/4 MOA click value gives familiar, fine enough correction for zeroing. The 65.00 MOA elevation and windage range provides ample adjustment for typical hunting setups, and the 100 YD side parallax setting keeps the scope optimized for common muzzleloader distances. Built on a 25.4 mm tube from aerospace aluminum and weighing 430.00 g, it remains easy to mount on a practical hunting rifle without making the overall setup feel top-heavy.

About Crimson Trace

Crimson Trace was established in 1994 and built its reputation around firearm aiming and illumination products. The company is especially known for firearm laser sights and firearm-mounted lights, with product lines such as Lasergrips, Laserguard, Rail Master, and Lightguard. That background is relevant to its optics range because it shows a long-standing focus on sighting systems designed for practical use on working firearms rather than purely bench-oriented equipment.

In addition to lasers and lights, Crimson Trace also offers riflescopes and rangefinders, extending the brand into hunting and shooting optics. The company operates a facility in Columbia, Missouri, United States, and its product development has included features such as Instinctive Activation, which uses pressure-pad placement for natural engagement with a normal shooting grip. Even though that technology belongs to its laser products, it reflects the same design approach seen in its riflescopes: controls and features that support fast, practical use in the field.
