Zeiss Victory V8 1.1-8x24

• 1.1-8x zoom range: The low 1.1x setting supports fast, both-eyes-open shooting at close range, while 8x magnification gives enough reach for more deliberate shots across open ground.
• Wide field of view: With up to 39.60 m/100m, this riflescope shows more of the scene around the target, which helps when tracking moving game during driven hunts or shooting in tight woodland.
• Daytime-usable illuminated reticle: The red illuminated aiming point stays visible in bright daylight, making the reticle quicker to pick up against dark game or cluttered backgrounds.
• 92 % light transmission: High transmission and fully multicoated lenses maintain a bright, high-contrast image, which is especially useful when light is poor at dawn, dusk, or under forest cover.
• Compact 30 mm rail-mounted design: The 283.00 mm body, 600.00 g weight, and Zeiss ZM/VM rail keep the scope compact and secure on a hunting rifle without adding unnecessary bulk.

About the Zeiss Victory V8 Series

The Zeiss Victory V8 series is ZEISS’s premium hunting riflescope family built around an 8x zoom ratio and a broad spread of models for very different hunting styles. ZEISS announced the new generation in 2021, with configurations ranging from 1.1–8x for fast, close work through to higher-magnification models intended for low-light use and longer shots. Across the series, the design focus is versatility: one family covers driven hunts, stalking, low-light hunting, and more deliberate distance shooting.

All V8 models use second-focal-plane reticles, which keeps reticle size visually consistent through the zoom range and suits hunters who want an uncluttered sight picture at every magnification. ZEISS also specifies T* multi-coating and LotuTec coating across the V8 line, combining high light transmission with surfaces that are easier to keep clear in rain, spray, and dirt. Illuminated reticle options are part of the series, with exact reticle choices varying by model and market. In practical terms, the Victory V8 line sits at the top end of ZEISS hunting optics for users who want a wide magnification range, strong low-light performance, and hunting-focused mechanical design in one riflescope platform.

About the Zeiss Victory V8 1.1-8x24

The Zeiss Victory V8 1.1-8x24 is the driven-hunt and fast-stalking model in the V8 family. Its 1.10x to 8.00x magnification range gives it a very broad working envelope for a compact hunting riflescope: at the low end it behaves almost like a reflex-style sight for rapid target acquisition, while the upper end provides enough image scale for more careful shot placement at moderate distance. Combined with a 39.60 m/100m maximum field of view, it is particularly well suited to moving game, woodland hunting, and situations where targets appear suddenly and little time is available to settle behind the rifle.

The optical layout is built for speed as much as clarity. A fixed 92.00 mm eye relief helps maintain a consistent shooting position, and the generous exit pupil at low magnification makes the sight picture easier to acquire when mounting the rifle quickly. 92 % light transmission, fully multicoated lenses, and the compact 24 mm objective work together to deliver a bright, high-contrast image for dawn, dusk, and shaded terrain.

This model uses an illuminated SFP reticle with daytime-usable red illumination, so the aiming point remains easy to see in bright conditions without overwhelming the target in dim light. The capped turrets protect the settings from accidental movement during hard field use, while the 10mm/100m - 0.10MIL click value allows precise zeroing. A fixed 100 m parallax setting, nitrogen filling, waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction, plus the Zeiss ZM/VM rail, make it a practical hunting riflescope for rifles carried in rough weather and fast-changing terrain.

About Zeiss

ZEISS began when Carl Zeiss opened an optical and precision-mechanics workshop in Jena in 1846. Today, ZEISS is a German company headquartered in Oberkochen, Germany, with a long-standing reputation for optical engineering across multiple fields. In sport optics, the company develops binoculars, riflescopes, and spotting scopes for hunting and outdoor use, with product families that cover everything from compact field optics to premium hunting riflescopes.

Within this category, ZEISS is especially known for its lens technologies, including T* coatings for improved light transmission and contrast, and LotuTec, a protective coating used on hunting optics to help water shed from the lens surface and make cleaning easier. The company’s hunting range also includes integrated rangefinding optics such as the Victory RF line, reflecting ZEISS’s emphasis on combining optical performance with field-oriented functionality.
