Vomz VIIa 30 mm Mount for 12 mm Dovetail

• 30 mm scope fit: Built for riflescopes with a 30 mm main tube, this mount gives a direct, secure interface without reducers or extra parts.
• 12 mm dovetail compatibility: Designed for rifles with a 12–13.5 mm dovetail, it suits many rimfire and sporting platforms that use this common rail format.
• Aluminium construction: The aluminium body keeps weight down while providing the rigidity needed for a stable optic setup in regular field and range use.
• Detachable mount design: As a detachable mount, it supports straightforward installation and removal when changing optics or moving a scope between compatible rifles.
• 0 MOA alignment: The 0 MOA configuration keeps the optic in a neutral position, which suits general hunting and sport-shooting rifles that do not need built-in elevation cant.

About the Vomz Dovetail Mounts Series

Vomz Dovetail Mounts are a straightforward mounting family intended for shooters who use rifles with a traditional dovetail rail rather than a Picatinny or Weaver base. The series includes the Type VII for 25.4 mm scope tubes and the Type VIIa for 30 mm tubes, giving the line a clear split between the two most common riflescope body sizes. In the manufacturer’s catalog, these mounts are classed as solutions for upper-mounted rifle scopes, with a design focused on placing the optic securely above the firearm’s rail.

The series uses an aluminium construction, which helps keep the rifle trim and well balanced while still providing the stiffness needed for repeatable scope positioning. A key characteristic of the range is compatibility with 12–13.5 mm dovetail rails, making these mounts relevant for many rimfire and sporting rifles that rely on this rail standard. In practical use, the series is aimed at hunters and sport shooters who want a simple, robust way to mount a conventional riflescope on a dovetail-equipped rifle.

About the Vomz VIIa 30 mm Mount for 12 mm Dovetail

The Vomz VIIa 30 mm Mount for 12 mm Dovetail is built for shooters who need a direct way to install a 30 mm riflescope on a rifle with a dovetail receiver. Its role is simple but important: it provides the correct interface between the optic and the firearm without adding unnecessary bulk or complexity. That makes it a practical choice for rimfire rifles and light sporting rifles where compact handling matters as much as secure scope retention.

The mount uses an aluminium body, which helps reduce overall rifle weight while still giving the optic a stable platform. For field rifles carried over longer periods, that lower mass is useful; for range rifles, it helps preserve a balanced setup without making the top of the rifle feel heavy. The 0 MOA inclination keeps the scope in a neutral mounting position, which suits general-purpose zeroing distances and conventional hunting or target applications where added cant is not required.

This model is intended for 12 mm dovetail use and fits a broad group of compatible rifles, including a number of Anschutz, CZ, Kimber, Krico and other sporting platforms. Because it is a detachable mount, it also suits shooters who want a mounting solution that can be installed or removed more easily than a permanent base system. The result is a clean, functional mount for traditional dovetail-equipped rifles using modern 30 mm optics.
