Vomz Pilad P 8x56

• Fixed 8x magnification: A single-power design keeps the sight picture consistent and avoids the extra moving parts of a zoom scope, which suits hunters and sport shooters who want a straightforward setup for deliberate shots at longer distances.
• 56 mm objective lens: The large front lens and 7.00 mm exit pupil help deliver a bright image in poor light, making this riflescope well suited to dawn, dusk, and shaded woodland use.
• Simple SFP reticle layout: The second focal plane reticle keeps its apparent size constant, so the aiming picture remains familiar and uncluttered while sighting in or shooting from field positions.
• Capped multi-turn turrets: Protected adjustment caps help prevent accidental changes during transport or while moving through cover, while the 0.20 MIL click value still allows practical zeroing corrections.
• Compact, field-ready construction: A 25.4 mm tube, 480.00 g weight, waterproof and shockproof build, and operation from -40 °C / +50 °C make it suitable for regular outdoor use in demanding weather.

About the Vomz Pilad P Series

The Vomz Pilad P series is a family of fixed-magnification optical riflescopes built around a simple mechanical layout and practical field use. Within the Pilad range, these models serve shooters who prefer a consistent sight picture over the added complexity of variable magnification. VOMZ offers the series in several powers, including 3.5x, 4x, 8x, 10x and 12x, covering everything from short-range driven hunting to more deliberate shooting at extended distances.

A defining trait of the series is its straightforward design philosophy. VOMZ describes its fixed-power scopes as having fewer moving parts than variable models, which supports durability and predictable handling. Across the series, reticle options have included practical patterns such as T-post, Cross, MilDot and Parabola, and both illuminated and non-illuminated versions have been offered. Depending on the model, Pilad P riflescopes are configured for 26 mm or 30 mm rings, giving the line flexibility across different rifle setups. In use, the series is aimed at hunting and sport shooting, with an emphasis on clear aiming, robust construction, and uncomplicated operation.

About the Vomz Pilad P 8x56

The Vomz Pilad P 8x56 is a fixed-power riflescope built for shooters who want strong low-light performance and a stable aiming view. Its 8x magnification gives enough image scale for careful shot placement at medium to longer distances, while avoiding the distraction of changing power settings in the field. Combined with a 56 mm objective lens, it is particularly well suited to hunting from a stand, edge-of-woodland observation, and other situations where light fades before shooting ends.

The optical layout supports this role well. A 7.00 mm exit pupil helps maintain image brightness in dim conditions, and the multicoated lenses support contrast and usable light transmission. The stated 80 % light transmittance and 74.00 mm eye relief make the scope practical for field rifles, offering a comfortable viewing position while helping manage recoil. The 5.58 m/100m field of view is focused more on precise observation than rapid close-range target transitions, which matches the scope’s fixed 8x purpose.

Mechanically, this model stays simple and dependable. The second focal plane reticle keeps the same apparent size in the image, giving a familiar sight picture at all times, and the non-illuminated layout avoids unnecessary complexity for shooters who prefer a plain aiming reference. Capped multi-turn turrets with 0.20 MIL clicks protect the settings from accidental movement during transport or while moving through brush. With a 25.4 mm tube, 480.00 g weight, waterproof and shockproof construction, and operation from -40 °C / +50 °C, the Pilad P 8x56 is configured for regular use in demanding outdoor conditions.

About Vomz

VOMZ began operations in Vologda, Russia, on October 16, 1971 and has long specialized in optoelectronic products for both special-purpose and civilian applications. In the sporting optics segment, the company is known for manufacturing Pilad-branded rifle scopes as well as optical, prism, and collimator sights. This background gives VOMZ a clear focus on practical sighting systems rather than a broad general outdoor catalog.

The company is headquartered in Vologda, Russia and is part of the Shvabe holding within the Rostec State Corporation. Its riflescope range is aimed at applications including hunting and sport shooting, with an emphasis on robust construction and usable field performance. VOMZ also states that its scopes are tested against recoil loads of 800 g, which reflects the brand’s attention to mechanical durability in everyday rifle use.
