Streamlight 3AA Headlight Haz Lo Atex

• ATEX Zone 0 and Division 1 safety rating: The 3AA Headlight Haz Lo Atex is built for work in potentially explosive atmospheres, so it can be used where flammable gases, vapors or dust may be present and safety certification is essential.
• 270-lumen LED output: A focused beam with a 150 m reach gives enough throw for inspection work, maintenance tasks and movement through dark industrial spaces without needing a larger handheld light.
• Hands-free low-profile design: The compact headlamp format keeps both hands available for tools and climbing, while the snag-resistant shape sits close to the helmet or head for easier use in confined areas.
• 90° tilting head: The beam can be aimed exactly where the task is, reducing the need to tilt the neck or reposition the whole lamp when working at floor level, overhead or inside equipment.
• AA battery power with long runtime: Powered by three AA batteries, this model combines an 8-hour runtime with easy battery replacement, which is practical for long shifts and sites where charging is not convenient.

About the Streamlight Haz Lo Series

Streamlight Haz Lo lights are designed for users who need dependable illumination in environments where ordinary lighting tools may not be suitable. Within the Streamlight range, the series focuses on safety-rated portable lighting for industrial maintenance, utilities, oil and gas work, processing plants and other hazardous locations. The defining characteristic of the line is that it combines practical work-light output with certifications intended for areas where ignitable gases, vapors or dust may be present.

Rather than chasing maximum size or output, the Haz Lo series emphasizes controlled beam performance, straightforward operation and durable housings that stand up to daily professional use. Models in the family are typically built around LED light sources for long service life, efficient runtime and consistent output, and they are shaped for secure handling with gloves or for stable mounting on the head or helmet. Across the series, the design approach is simple: provide reliable light, practical runtimes and construction that supports demanding field work while meeting the safety requirements that define this category.

About the Streamlight 3AA Headlight Haz Lo Atex

The Streamlight 3AA Headlight Haz Lo Atex is a compact headlamp made for hazardous-location work where hands-free lighting is more useful than a handheld torch. Its key advantage is the combination of ATEX Zone 0 approval with a practical work-light format, making it suitable for inspection, maintenance and movement through industrial sites where certified equipment is required. The lamp produces 270 lumens and reaches 150 m, which gives it enough beam intensity for looking down corridors, into plant rooms or across work areas while still remaining easy to wear for extended periods.

The headlamp uses an LED emitter and runs for 8 hours on three AA batteries, a useful balance for long shifts where simple battery replacement matters more than recharge infrastructure. Its 90° tilting head helps direct light onto valves, panels, cable runs or footing without forcing awkward head movement, which is especially helpful during close work. The push-button interface is straightforward to operate, even with gloves, and the low-profile body reduces snagging in tight spaces.

Durability is equally important here. The housing is built for rough professional use and the light is described as waterproof, fogproof and shockproof, helping it stay dependable in wet weather, dirty work sites and daily transport in kit bags or lockers. As a result, this Streamlight headlamp fits users who need certified lighting that is simple, robust and easy to keep in service.

About Streamlight

Streamlight was established in 1973 in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The company later moved its headquarters and production facilities to Norristown in 1977, and then to Eagleville, Pennsylvania in November 2001, where it is still headquartered. Streamlight focuses on the design, manufacture and marketing of lighting products and weapon-light and laser-sighting devices, giving it a broad base of experience across professional portable lighting categories.

Its range includes flashlights, headlamps, weapon-mounted lights, lanterns and scene lighting, with product families such as TLR and ProTac covering dedicated weapon-light applications. The company also develops rechargeable lighting products and LED lighting, which is directly relevant to work lights such as the Haz Lo series. That background helps explain Streamlight's reputation for practical, duty-oriented designs intended for industrial, emergency service and field use.
