Spuhr TRG-AI Sideclamp

• TRG/AI fit: This sideclamp is made for the TRG-AI interface, giving a secure connection point for compatible Spuhr mounting setups on rifles that use this pattern.
• Aluminium construction: The aluminium body keeps weight to 100.00 g, helping maintain a strong mounting solution without adding unnecessary mass to the rifle.
• Built for optics mounting systems: Designed as an accessory for riflescopes, it supports a stable foundation for precision-oriented optics setups where repeatable alignment matters.
• Matte finish: The matte surface keeps reflections down and matches practical rifle builds used for field shooting, duty use, or range work.
• Swedish manufacture: Made in Sweden, this accessory follows the same design approach Spuhr is known for in professional-grade scope mounting hardware.

About the Spuhr Accesories Series

Spuhr Accesories are built around the idea of expanding a rifle’s optical setup in a clean, mechanically consistent way. The series includes add-ons made to attach optical equipment to ISMS scope mounts, using the company’s own Spuhr Interface as well as Picatinny-based solutions where appropriate. That gives the series a clear role in the Spuhr lineup: it is not about the primary mount itself, but about adapting and extending it for more specialized tasks.

A defining feature of the series is the two-hole interface with dual conical parts, which is designed for secure, repeatable attachment. In practice, that matters when adding mission-specific equipment such as backup sights, lasers, illuminators, angle cosine indicators, or night-vision accessories. The range also includes direct interfaces for miniature sights, interface spacers, and short rails, so users can configure a mount around the job rather than accept a fixed layout. Across the series, the design philosophy is compactness, low added weight, and a more integrated solution than stacking multiple adapters.

About the Spuhr TRG-AI Sideclamp

The Spuhr TRG-AI Sideclamp is a specialized mounting accessory intended for rifles and mounting arrangements that use the TRG-AI pattern. Its role is straightforward but important: it forms part of the mechanical interface that secures the mount to the rifle, so stability and fit are more important here than visual complexity. For precision shooting, a properly matched sideclamp helps the optic remain consistently positioned under recoil and during repeated removal and reinstallation of compatible hardware.

The use of aluminium construction keeps the part light at 100.00 g, which is useful on rifles that may already carry a heavy optic, bipod, or other support equipment. Keeping accessory weight under control helps preserve the rifle’s balance and makes the complete system easier to handle in the field or on the firing line. The matte finish also suits practical rifle builds by reducing glare and visually matching modern scope mounts and chassis systems.

As an accessory for riflescopes, this sideclamp fits into the broader Spuhr approach of building modular optics mounting systems rather than isolated parts. That makes it relevant for shooters who want a mounting solution tailored to a specific rifle interface while staying within the same mechanical ecosystem. The result is a compact component that supports a secure, purpose-built optic installation without adding unnecessary bulk.

About Spuhr

Spuhr i Dalby AB was founded by Håkan Spuhr in 2007 and is based in Löddeköpinge, Sweden. The company focuses on the design and manufacture of firearm optics mounts and weapon upgrade kits, with a reputation built around precise mechanical interfaces and modular rifle accessories. A key step in the company’s development came in 2010 with the introduction of the Ideal Scope Mount System (ISMS), a mount design that also provides attachment points for accessories alongside the riflescope.

Beyond scope mounts, Spuhr has developed products such as upgrade kits for the HK G3 and MP5 platforms, the adjustable Spuhr Ideal Chassis System (SICS) for bolt-action rifles, and specialized sight mounts including those for 40 mm grenade launchers. Across these categories, the company’s strength lies in combining robust mounting hardware with practical modularity for professional, competition, and precision-rifle use.
