Sightmark Accudot Rifle Boresight

• Preliminary zeroing aid: The Accudot Rifle Boresight projects a laser reference point into the sight picture, helping align a riflescope or iron sights before live-fire confirmation and reducing wasted ammunition at the range.
• Caliber-specific in-chamber design: Its cartridge-style format seats in the chamber like a round, which helps center the laser in line with the bore for a practical starting point when setting up hunting optics or range rifles.
• Brass construction: The brass body supports consistent chamber fit and stands up well to repeated handling, making the boresight suitable for regular bench use in the workshop or at the range.
• Fast setup for optic changes: A boresight is especially useful after mounting a new riflescope or moving an optic between rifles, allowing a quicker return to paper before final zero adjustments.
• Useful for training and maintenance: It provides a simple visual reference when checking alignment after transport, storage or routine firearm maintenance, saving time before the first confirming shots.

About the Sightmark Boresights Series

Sightmark Boresights are built as practical alignment tools for shooters who want to get close to zero before firing live rounds. The series covers rifles, pistols, rimfires, shotguns and even archery, giving the brand a broad boresighting lineup rather than a one-format solution. Within the range, Sightmark offers both caliber-specific in-chamber models and universal designs, so users can choose between cartridge-style fit for a dedicated firearm or a more flexible tool for multiple platforms.

A defining role of the series is to provide preliminary sight alignment before final zero confirmation on the range. In practice, that means fewer test shots, less time spent chasing impacts onto paper and a more efficient setup process after mounting a new optic. The lineup is aimed at novice and experienced shooters alike, including hunting and target-shooting use, where a quick visual reference can simplify setup. In the caliber-specific versions, the laser projects a dot that helps align the firearm’s bore with the sighting system, making the series a straightforward accessory for riflescope installation, sight checks and routine zeroing work.

About the Sightmark Accudot Rifle Boresight

The Sightmark Accudot Rifle Boresight is a cartridge-style laser boresight intended for rifle setup and preliminary zeroing. Its main advantage is speed: instead of beginning with trial-and-error live fire, the boresight gives a visible aiming reference that helps bring a scope or sight much closer to alignment before the first confirming shots. That makes it especially useful after installing a new optic, re-mounting rings or bases, or checking zero after transport.

The body is made from brass, a material well suited to this type of accessory because it supports reliable chamber fit and resists wear from repeated insertion and removal. As a caliber-specific in-chamber design, this style of boresight is practical for shooters who want a simple, repeatable way to align one rifle or a dedicated group of rifles without using a muzzle-mounted system. The laser dot provides a clear visual reference for coarse alignment, helping the shooter get on paper faster and spend range time refining the final zero rather than searching for impact.

For hunting rifles, sporting rifles and general range setups, the Accudot concept is useful because it shortens the setup process while keeping the procedure straightforward. It is not a substitute for final live-fire zeroing, but it is an effective first step that helps make optic installation, maintenance checks and sight adjustments more efficient.
