Schmidt & Bender Protective Cap Posicon for Klassik Series

• Protective screw-on design: Shields the turret against unintended adjustment, impacts, dirt and weather, helping the riflescope keep its zero during transport and field use.
• Posicon-compatible construction: Built for Schmidt & Bender Klassik series models that use the Posicon adjustment system, so the cap matches the intended turret layout and handling.
• Aluminium body: The metal construction adds durability without unnecessary bulk, making it suitable for regular use on hunting optics and other field riflescopes.
• Black finish: The subdued exterior keeps the accessory visually discreet on the scope and fits the restrained appearance expected on traditional hunting setups.
• Position-indicator concept: The Posicon carrier design supports clear reference marking, which helps the shooter keep track of individual ballistic settings more easily.

About the S&B Accessories Series

S&B Accessories is the factory accessory range developed to complement Schmidt & Bender riflescopes with model-specific fit and the same practical design approach seen in the company’s optics. The series covers a broad mix of support items for hunting and precision shooting, including lens covers, filters, anti-reflection devices, cleaning equipment and turret accessories. Rather than treating accessories as generic add-ons, Schmidt & Bender designs them around the mechanical layout of particular riflescope families, so compatibility is tied closely to the relevant model line.

Within the range, the emphasis is on field utility. Some accessories are intended to control stray light and reflections, others protect exposed optical surfaces, and others improve handling or turret management. That model-specific philosophy matters in practice because it preserves the original ergonomics of the riflescope instead of adding poorly matched parts. In the case of turret accessories, the series focuses on protecting adjustment systems while keeping them usable and easy to reference in the field. S&B Accessories therefore suits owners who want factory-matched components for hunting optics and other precision riflescope setups, with fit and function aligned to the scope they already use.

About the Schmidt & Bender Protective Cap Posicon for Klassik Series

The Schmidt & Bender Protective Cap Posicon for Klassik Series is a riflescope accessory made to protect the adjustment turret on compatible Klassik series models while preserving the practical advantages of the Posicon concept. As a screw-on cap, it covers the turret against accidental movement during transport, stalking, storage or general field handling. That matters on a hunting rifle, where a small unintended shift can affect zero and cost time when the shot opportunity is brief.

The cap is made from aluminium, giving it the solid feel expected from a scope-mounted component while remaining appropriate for regular carry. Its black finish keeps the appearance discreet and consistent with traditional riflescope styling. More importantly, this accessory is built around the Posicon system, which is intended to give the shooter a clear visual reference for turret position. In practical use, that makes it easier to keep track of established settings while still adding physical protection over the adjustment.

For Klassik owners, this accessory is less about changing how the riflescope works and more about preserving reliability in real use. It helps protect the turret from knocks, dirt and adverse weather, while maintaining a neat, integrated fit on the optic. That makes it a sensible addition for shooters who want to keep a Schmidt & Bender Klassik setup protected without compromising the clean handling of the scope.

About Schmidt & Bender

Schmidt & Bender was founded in 1957 by Helmut Schmidt and Helmut Bender in Biebertal-Fellingshausen, Germany. The company remains headquartered in Biebertal and is known for building precision riflescopes for hunting, competition shooting, police and military use. Its product range includes established lines such as Zenith and PM II, reflecting a long focus on premium optical sighting systems rather than general outdoor optics.

Over time, Schmidt & Bender expanded its manufacturing base with a Hungarian subsidiary established in 1992 from an optical department acquired from MOM. The brand is particularly associated with robust mechanical construction, precise adjustment systems and purpose-built riflescope designs for demanding field and professional applications. That background makes its accessories relevant as well: they are developed to match the company’s optics closely, with attention to fit, handling and long-term service use rather than generic compatibility.
