Rusan Pivot mount for Mauser M96, Yukon Photon, one-piece

• One-piece pivot construction: The single-piece upper keeps the Yukon Photon aligned in one rigid unit, which helps maintain a consistent fit and simplifies installation on a rifle set up for this mount.
• Made for Yukon Photon 30 mm devices: This mount is configured specifically for the Photon format, so the interface suits the optic properly instead of relying on a generic ring arrangement.
• Mauser M96-specific fit: The mount is matched to the Mauser M96 (1896), giving a rifle-specific solution that is more practical than adapting a universal mount to an older action.
• Detachable pivot system: A pivot mount allows the optic to be removed and reattached in a controlled, repeatable way, which is useful when switching between sighting setups or transporting the rifle.
• Steel mount from Croatia: Rusan is known for precision-machined mounting hardware, and the solid metal construction is well suited to regular field use where stability matters as much as convenience.

About the Rusan Pivot Mounts for NV and Thermal Series

Rusan Pivot Mounts for NV and Thermal are built as dedicated mounting solutions for hunters and shooters who use night-vision and thermal devices on conventional sporting rifles. In Rusan’s catalog, this series covers complete pivot mounts as well as upper parts without bases, with versions tailored to specific rifle models and to specific optic bodies rather than treating every setup as interchangeable. That approach matters in practice because digital and thermal sights often have different mounting footprints, tube formats, and balance points than standard daytime scopes.

The series includes variants for a wide range of rifles and for devices from brands such as Yukon, Pulsar, HIKMICRO, ATN, and Pard. Rusan also offers these mounts across several mounting interfaces, which shows the series’ role as a modular bridge between traditional rifle actions and modern electro-optics. The design philosophy is straightforward: a pivot-style detachable mount that gives a secure mechanical connection while still allowing the sight to be removed when needed. For users fitting digital night optics to classic hunting rifles, the series provides a more model-specific and purpose-built alternative to generic clamp-on solutions.

About the Rusan Pivot mount for Mauser M96, Yukon Photon, one-piece

The Rusan Pivot mount for Mauser M96, Yukon Photon, one-piece is a dedicated mounting solution for pairing a Yukon Photon 30 mm night-vision sight with the Mauser M96 (1896) platform. Its main advantage is not complexity but fit: the mount is built around a specific rifle and a specific optic type, which makes it a practical choice for shooters who want a cleaner and more dependable installation than a universal mount can usually provide.

The one-piece upper is especially relevant with digital night optics because it supports the sight as a single unit rather than splitting support across separate components. That helps with alignment and gives the setup a more integrated feel on the rifle. Because the mount belongs to Rusan’s pivot family, it also offers the practical benefit of a detachable pivot arrangement, useful for users who remove the optic for storage, transport, or to alternate between different sighting systems.

For hunting optics and night shooting applications, the value of this mount lies in stability and compatibility. The black finish keeps the appearance understated, while the dedicated Photon format means the mount is intended for the dimensions and use pattern of that device. On a classic rifle such as the Mauser M96, a rifle-specific pivot mount like this helps combine older firearm platforms with modern digital optics in a way that remains mechanically tidy and field-practical.

About Rusan

Rusan is a Croatian manufacturer based in Marija Bistrica, where the Rusan family’s metalworking business dates back to 1983. The company developed from gunsmithing and precision metalwork into a specialist maker of scope mounts, rings, Picatinny rails, and firearm tuning components. It began producing scope mounts in 1993, which helps explain why mounting solutions remain central to the brand’s identity today.

Rusan is particularly well known for products that connect rifles with modern optics, including adapter clamps for clip-on sights and adapters for night-vision and thermal-imaging devices. The company introduced its clip-on sight adapter clamp in 2009, expanding its reputation among users who need precise, repeatable interfaces between firearms and electro-optics. That background makes Rusan a natural fit for dedicated mounts such as this Mauser M96 and Yukon Photon combination.
