Rusan Picatinny rail - Winchester 70 WSSM

• Steel construction: The rail uses a steel body for a rigid mounting platform that helps optics stay aligned under recoil and repeated use.
• Picatinny interface: A full Picatinny rail gives broad compatibility with modern scope rings and accessories, making optic selection and replacement more straightforward.
• Model-specific fit: Built for the Winchester 70 WSSM, it matches the receiver footprint correctly for secure installation and consistent positioning.
• 0 MOA inclination: The flat rail keeps the optic in a neutral alignment, which suits general hunting and sporting rifle setups without adding elevation bias.
• Black finish: The black protective finish reduces glare and gives the mount a subdued appearance that fits practical field rifles.

About the Rusan Picatinny Bases Series

Rusan Picatinny Bases are the company’s rifle-specific mounting rails for shooters who want a standardized optic interface on traditional bolt-action and sporting rifles. The series is built around a simple idea: give each firearm model a correctly matched base while retaining the flexibility of the Picatinny mounting standard. That makes the series relevant for hunting rifles, general sporting use, and any setup where the owner may want to change rings, move optics between rifles, or add compatible accessories.

Across the range, high-grade steel construction and a black oxide semi-gloss finish define the design. The rails follow the MIL-STD-1913 format with 5.3 mm-wide slots spaced 10 mm apart, so they provide repeatable engagement with Picatinny-compatible rings and mounts. Depending on the rifle model, the series includes different mounting solutions and, where available, versions with added inclination for longer-range applications. In practice, the series stands out for combining a robust steel build with model-specific geometry, which is exactly what matters in a mount: secure fit, stable alignment, and broad compatibility with modern optics.

About the Rusan Picatinny rail - Winchester 70 WSSM

The Rusan Picatinny rail - Winchester 70 WSSM is a rifle-specific steel base made for shooters who want to equip the Winchester M70 WSSM with modern Picatinny-mounted optics. Its main advantage is not complexity but fit: because the rail is shaped for this particular action pattern, it provides a stable foundation for scope rings and helps maintain consistent optic alignment through recoil, transport, and repeated removal or reinstallation of accessories.

The rail uses a steel body, which is a practical choice for a mounting component because stiffness and wear resistance matter more here than minimum weight. The 145.00 mm overall length gives enough usable rail space for positioning rings to suit different scope tube lengths and eye-relief requirements, while the 81.7 mm spacing dimension reflects the geometry required for this rifle fitment. With 0 MOA inclination, the rail keeps the optic level in a neutral setup that suits common hunting and sporting applications, especially when there is no need to bias the scope for extended elevation travel.

The Picatinny format also adds flexibility. It allows the rifle to accept a wide range of rings and optic types, from conventional riflescopes to other Picatinny-compatible sighting systems. Combined with its black finish and straightforward steel construction, this rail is a practical mounting solution for a Winchester 70 WSSM setup that prioritizes secure attachment, compatibility, and mechanical stability.

About Rusan

Rusan-Mikron is a Croatian manufacturer based in Marija Bistrica, with roots in the Rusan family’s metalworking business dating back to 1983. Željko Rusan opened a gunsmith shop in 1986, and the company began producing scope mounts in 1993. That background explains why Rusan remains closely associated with practical mounting solutions for sporting and hunting firearms.

The company specializes in scope mounts, scope rings, Picatinny rails, and firearm tuning products, and it is also known for adapter systems for night-vision and thermal-imaging devices. Rusan introduced its clip-on sight adapter clamp in 2009, a product area that became an important part of the brand’s identity. In this category, Rusan’s reputation comes from precise metalworking and from offering rifle-specific mounting solutions rather than generic one-size-fits-all designs.
