Recknagel Pivot upper parts, Zastava 70, Swarovski SR Rail

• Pivot quick-detach design: The upper assembly is built for a classic pivot mount system, making it practical for rifles that may need the optic removed for transport, maintenance, or a switch to open sights while preserving a repeatable mounting position.
• Swarovski SR rail interface: The dedicated Swarovski SR Rail fit gives a secure, aligned connection without separate scope rings, helping keep the installation clean, low, and mechanically consistent.
• Adjustable windage: Built-in windage adjustment helps the mount align the optic more precisely to the rifle, reducing the need to use excessive scope adjustment and supporting a better centered zero.
• Steel construction: A steel body favors long-term rigidity and wear resistance, which matters on hunting rifles that see repeated removal and reattachment of the optic over many seasons.
• 19.00 mm build height: The 19.00 mm height keeps the optic at a practical position above the action, balancing scope clearance with a stable cheek weld and natural sight alignment.

About the - Series

Leupold’s Quick Release (QR) mounting system is built around a lever-operated concept that lets the optic be detached and reinstalled without turning the rifle into a workshop project. Within that family, the focus is on a practical balance of repeatable return to zero, straightforward handling, and the flexibility to use more than one scope on the same rifle. Leupold designed the QR concept for shooters who value a mount that can be removed in the field or at the bench and then put back into service with minimal shift.

The series includes one-piece and two-piece base configurations and works with dedicated QR rings, giving users a choice between compact setups and more traditional mounting layouts. Leupold also positioned the system as a good fit for muzzleloaders and large-caliber rifles, where a robust steel interface and dependable lock-up matter in day-to-day use. A key characteristic of the QR family is its stated ability to maintain zero within ¼ MOA after removal and reattachment, which is the feature that defines the series in practical terms.

About the Recknagel Pivot upper parts, Zastava 70, Swarovski SR Rail

The Recknagel Pivot upper parts for Zastava 70 with Swarovski SR Rail are made for shooters who want the traditional strengths of a pivot mount with the clean profile of a rail-mounted hunting scope. Instead of clamping a scope in conventional rings, this upper assembly interfaces directly with the Swarovski SR rail, which simplifies alignment and gives the optic a neat, integrated fit. On a hunting rifle, that matters because it reduces unnecessary bulk around the tube and keeps the setup mechanically tidy.

This version uses a 19.00 mm build height and 0 MOA inclination, making it well suited to a straightforward hunting zero rather than a long-range canted setup. The inclusion of adjustable windage is especially useful on classic bolt-action platforms, because it allows the mount to be centered more precisely to the rifle before relying on the scope’s internal adjustment range. In practice, that can leave more reticle travel available where it is needed and support a more balanced zero.

The mount body is made from steel, which suits a pivot system that may be opened and closed repeatedly over years of use. Steel helps the locking surfaces resist wear and keeps the connection stable under recoil and regular handling. Finished in black, the upper parts match the restrained look expected on a traditional sporting rifle while remaining compatible with pivot mount bases for the Zastava M70 bolt action and related actions listed for this pattern.

About Recknagel

Adolf Recknagel began manufacturing firearm sights in 1867 in Albrechts near Suhl, Thuringia, establishing a long-standing German connection to hunting and sporting firearms. Today, Recknagel is known for firearm and riflescope mounting systems, sights, and hunting accessories, with a product range that includes mounts, Picatinny rails, triggers, safeties, and silencers. That background is directly relevant here, because the company’s reputation rests on precise mechanical components for attaching optics securely and repeatably.

The company expanded its modern tactical offering with the ERATAC line in 2010 and later added lightweight hunting silencers in 2016. Recknagel relocated from Schweinfurt to Bergrheinfeld in 2006, and the business has been under the ownership of Dr. Moritz Fehrer since 2022. Across both traditional hunting mounts and newer tactical products, the brand remains closely associated with German-made metalwork and mounting solutions.
