Real Avid Gun Cleaning Kit AR15

• AR15-specific tool set: This kit is built around the cleaning needs of the AR15 platform, so it addresses the bore, chamber and bolt carrier area with tools meant for the fouling points that most affect reliability.
• Compact weather-resistant case: The organized zippered case keeps each tool protected and easy to find, making the kit practical for range bags, field use and bench storage.
• Complete rod-based bore cleaning system: The included cleaning rod, bore brush and related accessories support proper breech-to-muzzle cleaning, helping maintain accuracy and reduce unnecessary wear.
• Star chamber and carbon-removal tools: Specialized brushes, pads and picks make it easier to remove carbon from tight AR15 recesses, which helps support smoother cycling and easier routine maintenance.
• Portable 20-piece layout: With the essential tools gathered in one case, the kit reduces the need to assemble separate cleaning items and keeps AR15 maintenance consistent wherever the rifle is used.

About the Gun Boss Series

Real Avid’s Gun Boss series is designed as a line of compact, firearm-specific cleaning kits for shooters who want a more organized alternative to loose rods, brushes and patches. Within the company’s cleaning range, the series sits as a portable solution that emphasizes practical field use, straightforward storage and tools matched to a particular firearm type rather than a one-size-fits-all layout.

For AR-platform owners, that approach matters because maintenance often involves more than a simple bore pass. The Gun Boss format combines a travel-friendly case with the core tools needed for routine cleaning, while also adding parts intended for the areas where carbon tends to build up most heavily. The series is aimed at owners who want a kit that can live in a range bag, vehicle case or workbench drawer without taking up much space. Across the line, the focus is on portability, clear organization and model-specific cleaning tools, making the Gun Boss family a practical choice for regular upkeep between more extensive bench-cleaning sessions.

About the Real Avid Gun Cleaning Kit AR15

The Real Avid Gun Cleaning Kit AR15 is built for shooters who need a portable AR15 cleaning kit that still covers the parts of the rifle that matter most for dependable function. Rather than limiting the kit to basic bore tools, this model is configured around the AR15’s specific maintenance points, including the chamber and bolt carrier area where carbon buildup can quickly affect cycling. That makes it well suited to routine post-range cleaning, field maintenance and keeping a rifle serviceable between deeper workshop sessions.

The kit’s 20-piece layout is arranged in a compact weather-resistant case, which helps keep rods, brushes, picks and small accessories from getting lost or damaged in transport. For practical use, that means less setup time and a lower chance of leaving out a critical tool when cleaning away from the bench. The 33" rod with T-handle and rotating tip supports controlled bore cleaning, while the phosphor bronze bore brush and related accessories are intended to remove fouling efficiently from the barrel.

What sets this AR15 kit apart is its attention to the rifle’s harder-to-clean recesses. The inclusion of a star chamber brush, cleaning pads, carbon picks and a bolt carrier brush helps target the areas that generic kits often miss. In practice, that means easier removal of stubborn residue from the chamber extension and action components, helping the rifle stay cleaner, cycle more smoothly and remain easier to inspect after use.
