RC-tech Brass Base Pad 1911 Metalform/CobraMag

• Brass construction: The solid brass body adds weight at the base of the magazine, which can help magazines drop free more positively and gives the floorplate a durable, hard-wearing feel for repeated handling.
• Made for 1911 Metalform/CobraMag magazines: This base pad is built for a specific magazine pattern, giving shooters a dedicated fit for compatible 1911 magazines rather than a generic add-on part.
• Compact magazine upgrade: As a floorplate replacement, it updates the magazine without changing the overall role of the pistol, making it a practical choice for competition setups and spare-mag organization.
• Visible gold finish: The gold color makes the magazine easier to identify at a glance in a range bag or on the belt, which is useful when separating training, match, or caliber-specific magazines.
• RC-Tech accessory design: As part of the RC-Tech Accessories range, it fits the brand's focus on practical shooting equipment intended for regular training and competition use.

About the RC-Tech Accessories Series

RC-Tech Accessories is a product family built around the practical needs of shooting sports rather than a single narrow category. The range is associated with Robert Černigoj's RC-Tech brand and covers equipment used around training sessions, match preparation, and day-to-day range use. Within the series, the emphasis is on functional items that support how shooters organize gear, measure performance, and maintain consistency in practice.

The line includes products for several different tasks, from shot-timer accessories and hearing-protection items to measurement tools for IPSC and IDPA use. That broad scope gives the series a clear identity: these are accessories intended to solve small but important practical problems for competitive and recreational shooters. Instead of focusing on one firearm platform alone, the series supports the wider shooting environment, where reliability, easy handling, and straightforward compatibility matter more than unnecessary complexity. In that context, magazine accessories such as this base pad fit naturally into the RC-Tech approach, offering a simple hardware upgrade for shooters who want equipment that is easier to manage on the range.

About the RC-tech Brass Base Pad 1911 Metalform/CobraMag

The RC-tech Brass Base Pad 1911 Metalform/CobraMag is a magazine floorplate accessory made for shooters using 1911 magazines from Metalform and CobraMag. Its main advantage is straightforward: the brass construction adds mass at the bottom of the magazine, which can improve handling during reloads and help the magazine clear the pistol more decisively when dropped. That extra weight is especially relevant in practical shooting, where fast magazine changes and predictable movement matter.

Because this is a dedicated base pad rather than a universal part, it suits shooters who want a cleaner, more purpose-built setup for compatible 1911 magazines. The metal construction also gives the floorplate a more robust feel than a lighter basic plate, which is useful for magazines that are handled frequently during training or competition. The gold finish adds a visual benefit as well, making individual magazines easier to distinguish from standard ones in a pouch, on a bench, or in a range bag.

In use, this RC-Tech accessory is less about changing the pistol itself and more about improving the way spare magazines are managed. For competition-oriented shooters, that can mean quicker identification, more confident reload handling, and a magazine setup that feels more substantial in the hand.

About RC-Tech

RC-Tech is a brand created by Robert Černigoj. The brand sits alongside his broader shooting-focused work, which also includes an online shooting academy dedicated to improving shooting skills. That training background is relevant because it places RC-Tech in a practical, performance-oriented context shaped by real range use rather than by general outdoor equipment alone.

The RC-Tech shop covers several product areas, including shooter gear, firearm parts, and optics and sights. This shows a focus on equipment used directly in training and competition environments. The associated academy describes its courses as suitable for beginners and advanced shooters, which reflects a broad understanding of shooter needs across different skill levels. In product terms, that translates into accessories intended to be functional, easy to integrate into existing setups, and relevant to regular practice.
