Pachmayr Gripper Colt Grips

• Compact rubber grip design: The Compac-style shape keeps the revolver easier to conceal while still giving the hand a more secure hold than hard factory panels.
• Improved control under recoil: The rubber construction helps absorb shock and reduces slipping, which makes fast follow-up shots and long practice sessions more manageable.
• Better trigger reach: This grip pattern is intended to help shooters with smaller hands or shorter fingers reach the trigger more naturally without compromising purchase.
• Made for Colt D-frame revolvers: Fitment for compatible Colt models gives older carry and service revolvers a practical handling upgrade without changing their basic profile.
• Made in the USA: Domestic production and Pachmayr’s long focus on shooting accessories make this a dependable replacement grip for regular field or range use.

About the Pachmayr Accessories Series

Pachmayr Accessories covers a broad range of practical shooting components, from handgun and revolver grips to rifle grips and recoil pads for long guns. The series reflects Pachmayr’s long-standing emphasis on improving how firearms handle in real use rather than changing their basic function. Within the lineup, revolver and pistol grips remain a central category, with designs ranging from classic rubber wraparound models to G10, laminate and slip-on options for different carry, sporting and range applications.

A defining trait of the series is its focus on control, comfort and fit. Pachmayr’s rubber handgun grips have been part of the brand’s catalog since the early 1960s, and that heritage still shows in products built to give a steadier hold, better recoil management and more confident handling in adverse conditions. In practical terms, the series is aimed at shooters who want a more secure interface with the firearm, whether for concealed carry, service-style revolvers, recreational shooting or general handgun use.

About the Pachmayr Gripper Colt Grips

The Pachmayr Gripper Colt Grips are built as a handling upgrade for compatible Colt D-frame revolvers, including the Agent, Cobra, Detective Special, Diamond Back and Police Positive Special. Their role is straightforward: replace slimmer or harder factory stocks with a grip that gives the shooter more traction and a more forgiving feel in the hand. That matters most on compact revolvers, where a small change in grip shape can make a noticeable difference in control during double-action shooting.

The use of rubber construction is central to how this model performs. Compared with rigid grip panels, rubber offers more purchase when hands are wet, cold or under stress, and it softens the sharp feel of recoil that lightweight revolvers can produce. The compact profile also helps preserve the practical character of these Colt revolvers, keeping them suitable for belt carry or discreet use without adding unnecessary bulk.

This model is especially relevant for shooters who want a grip that supports better trigger reach and steadier one-handed or two-handed control. Pachmayr’s Compac-style revolver grips are intended to help users with smaller hands obtain a more natural finger position on the trigger while still maintaining a secure hold around the frame. For older Colt revolvers that are still carried, collected or shot regularly, that makes this grip a useful balance of comfort, control and compactness.

About Pachmayr

Pachmayr was founded by Frank Pachmayr in 1929 and built its reputation around practical firearm accessories for shooters, hunters and gunsmiths. The company introduced its first recoil pad in 1949, and Pachmayr rubber handgun grips followed in the early 1960s, helping establish the brand as a specialist in recoil control and handling improvements. Its catalog has since expanded to include handgun grips, recoil pads, gunsmithing tools and related shooting accessories.

The brand became part of Lyman in 1996, linking Pachmayr’s established grip and recoil-reduction products with one of the better-known names in shooting equipment. Pachmayr remains closely associated with rubber grip design and recoil-absorbing materials, including products that use its Decelerator technology. That background is especially relevant in handgun grips, where the company’s long experience centers on improving control, comfort and practical field durability.
