Pachmayr F325 Deluxe Black Base Shotgun and Rifle Pad

• Recoil-absorbing field pad: The F325 Deluxe is built to soften felt recoil on rifles and shotguns, helping make repeated shots more manageable and reducing fatigue during long sessions in the field or at the range.
• Softer side profile: Its side design is intended for collarbone comfort, which matters on heavier-recoiling hunting rifles and shotguns where a hard-edged pad can become distracting over time.
• Stippled non-slip face: The stippled contact surface helps keep the butt planted on the shoulder, improving consistency when mounting the firearm quickly and maintaining control under recoil.
• Field-style face: The field profile is shaped for quick mounting, making it well suited to practical hunting use where the gun needs to come to the shoulder smoothly and without snagging.
• Grind-to-fit design: This pad is designed to be ground to match the stock contours, allowing a cleaner, more tailored installation on compatible rifle and shotgun stocks.

About the Pachmayr Accessories Series

Pachmayr Accessories covers a broad range of shooting components built around practical improvements in handling, comfort, and control. The series includes recoil pads, handgun and revolver grips, and rifle accessories, giving it a clear role within the brand’s catalog as the part of the lineup focused on how the firearm interfaces with the shooter. One of the defining threads in the series is Pachmayr’s long-standing work in recoil management, with the company’s first recoil pad introduced in 1949 and later accessory development expanding into grips for both handguns and long guns.

Within this family, the emphasis is usually on durable materials, secure purchase, and shapes intended for real field use rather than decorative styling alone. Current rifle-related offerings include recoil pads and an AR-15 grip, while the broader series also spans revolver and pistol grip designs in rubber, laminate, and G10 formats. That makes the series especially relevant to shooters who want to improve comfort, fit, and control on working firearms used for hunting, range practice, or general carry in the field.

About the Pachmayr F325 Deluxe Black Base Shotgun and Rifle Pad

The Pachmayr F325 Deluxe Black Base Shotgun and Rifle Pad is a traditional field recoil pad made for shooters who want a classic shape with practical recoil reduction on a rifle or shotgun. Its role is straightforward: it helps take the edge off recoil while preserving a stock profile that still mounts naturally in hunting and general sporting use. The field-style face supports a smooth shoulder mount, which is important when a fast presentation matters as much as comfort.

What distinguishes the F325 Deluxe is the way it balances recoil control with day-to-day usability. Pachmayr describes the pad as having excellent recoil absorbing qualities, and the softer side profile is intended to improve collarbone comfort. In practice, that makes the pad a sensible choice for shooters using harder-kicking calibers or spending extended time with a shotgun during repeated firing. The stippled face adds another practical advantage by helping the butt stay planted on the shoulder instead of shifting during the mount or under recoil.

This model is also designed as a grind-to-fit pad, allowing it to be shaped to the contours of the stock for a more integrated final installation. That matters on replacement work, where a better match between pad and stock improves both handling and appearance. With a listed weight of 225.00 g, the F325 Deluxe remains a substantial accessory for rifles and shotguns that need a dependable recoil pad rather than a minimal slip-on solution.

About Pachmayr

Pachmayr was founded by Frank Pachmayr in 1929 and became known for products that improve how firearms handle under recoil and in the hand. The company introduced its first recoil pad in 1949, and its rubber handgun grips followed in the early 1960s, establishing the brand as a specialist in practical shooting accessories rather than complete firearms. Its product range has since included recoil pads, handgun grips, gunsmithing tools, and related components for sporting and defensive use.

A key part of Pachmayr’s reputation in this category is its work with Decelerator material in recoil-reducing products, along with a long-running focus on fit, control, and shooting comfort. The brand joined Lyman in 1996, and its manufacturing plant relocated to Prescott Valley, Arizona, in 2014. For shooters looking at recoil pads and stock accessories, Pachmayr remains a familiar name because of that long history in firearm contact-point components.
