Meprolight Tru-Dot for Heckler & Koch USP Compact

• Self-illuminated tritium system: The Tru-Dot sight picture stays visible in low light and at night without batteries, so the pistol remains ready for defensive or duty use at any hour.
• Three-dot alignment: A familiar 3-dot layout gives a consistent reference in daylight and darkness, helping speed up sight acquisition when quick alignment matters.
• Steel construction: The all-steel body stands up to daily carry, repeated recoil, and hard handling better than lighter-duty sight materials.
• Fixed sight setup: A fixed front and rear arrangement keeps the system simple and robust, making it well suited to users who want dependable zero retention rather than adjustment features.
• HK USP Compact fit: Built for the Heckler & Koch USP Compact, this sight set offers a direct handgun-specific upgrade for shooters who want improved low-light usability from their carry or service pistol.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot is the company’s established line of self-illuminated handgun night sights, built around a simple idea: keep the sight picture familiar in daylight while adding a visible aiming reference when ambient light drops. Within the series, Meprolight offers fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height variants for a wide range of pistol platforms, giving shooters options for concealed carry, service use, and specialized handgun setups.

A defining trait of the series is its three-dot sight picture, which remains consistent across lighting conditions and reduces the need to adapt to a different visual layout after dark. Tritium illumination provides that low-light visibility without switches or batteries, which suits pistols kept for defensive readiness. The series is also designed as a replacement for factory front and rear sights on compatible handguns, so it focuses on practical upgrades rather than changing the handling of the pistol. Across the range, the emphasis stays on durable metal construction, straightforward alignment, and dependable day-and-night usability.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for Heckler & Koch USP Compact

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for Heckler & Koch USP Compact is a dedicated tritium night sight set for shooters who want a more usable sight picture in reduced light without adding electronics or changing the basic handling of the pistol. Its main advantage is continuity: the sight picture remains a clear 3-dot arrangement in both daylight and darkness, so the shooter does not need to relearn alignment when conditions change.

Because this model uses a self-illuminated system, it is always on and does not depend on batteries, brightness controls, or activation buttons. That matters on a defensive handgun, where simplicity and immediate readiness are often more important than added features. The fixed sight adjustment also supports that role. A fixed setup is less exposed to accidental movement and better suited to a compact carry pistol that may be holstered, carried daily, and handled under stress.

The sight body is made from steel, which helps the set withstand recoil, slide movement, and routine wear. The square rear sight gives a clean rear reference, while the tritium-based day-night design supports faster sight pickup in dim interiors, outdoor evening light, and other transitional conditions. For the HK USP Compact platform, this model delivers a practical iron-sight upgrade centered on durability, low-light visibility, and a familiar aiming picture.
