Meprolight Tru-Dot for Bersa Thunder BP 9 CC

• Self-illuminated tritium: The sight picture stays visible in low light and at night without batteries, so the pistol remains ready for defensive use at any hour.
• Three-dot alignment: A familiar 3-dot layout helps the eye center the front sight quickly, supporting faster alignment during close-range shooting and everyday carry use.
• Steel construction: A steel sight body stands up to regular holster wear, recoil, and hard handling better than softer materials, which matters on a carry pistol.
• Fixed sight setup: The fixed front and rear arrangement keeps the profile simple and durable, with fewer exposed parts to snag or shift in routine use.
• Square rear sight: The square rear notch gives a clean reference around the front dot, making the sight picture easier to read under stress and in mixed lighting.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot sights are built as a practical handgun sight family for shooters who want a consistent aiming reference from bright daylight to low-light conditions. The series centers on a three-dot sight picture with tritium illumination, allowing the sights to remain visible without batteries or switches. That makes the line especially relevant for defensive pistols, duty handguns, and concealed-carry setups where immediate readiness matters more than added complexity.

Within the range, Tru-Dot models include fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height variants, with fitments for pistols from multiple manufacturers. The design approach is straightforward: replace the factory sights with a steel day-and-night set that preserves a familiar sight picture while improving visibility when ambient light drops. Some versions also offer different tritium dot color combinations, giving shooters options in how they separate the front sight from the rear. Across the series, the emphasis stays on rugged construction, simple operation, and a sight picture that does not change between daytime carry, indoor use, and nighttime conditions.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for Bersa Thunder BP 9 CC

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for Bersa Thunder BP 9 CC is a dedicated tritium night sight set for shooters who want a more useful carry sight picture than standard low-visibility factory irons. Its main advantage is constant readiness: the self-illuminated dots remain visible in darkness and transitional light without relying on batteries, buttons, or charging. For a compact defensive pistol, that matters because the sight picture stays available in the same form whether the handgun is used outdoors in daylight, indoors, or in low-light conditions.

This model uses a 3-dot alignment with a square rear sight, a combination that supports quick front-sight indexing while still giving a defined rear reference for deliberate shots. The layout is familiar to most pistol shooters, so it shortens the learning curve and keeps presentation intuitive under stress. Because the sights are fixed, the profile remains simple and robust, with no adjustment screws or protruding parts that could complicate daily carry or repeated holstering.

The sight body is made from steel, which is well suited to a carry gun that sees frequent handling and recoil. In practical terms, this helps the set maintain its shape and fit over time while resisting the wear that comes from training, transport, and routine use. Finished in black, the housing keeps visual distraction low and lets the illuminated dots remain the main focal point.

About Meprolight

Meprolight was founded in 1990 as a supplier of sights and battle optics to the Israel Defense Forces. Based in Or Akiva, Israel, the company develops and manufactures optical and electro-optical sighting systems for military, law-enforcement, and civilian users. It is a division of SK Group, and its catalog covers conventional sights, tritium night sights, reflex optics, thermal sights, magnified optics, and night-vision systems.

That background is especially relevant in the handgun-sight category. Meprolight has long focused on sighting systems for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and carbines, with an emphasis on durable construction and practical low-light capability. In products such as the Tru-Dot series, this shows in the use of self-illuminated tritium technology and simple, service-oriented sight designs intended for defensive, duty, and everyday carry roles.
