Meprolight Mepro R4E SUP for H&K VP9

• Self-Illuminated Tritium: The sight picture stays visible in low light and darkness without batteries, so the pistol remains ready for defensive or duty use at any hour.
• Five-Element R4E Alignment System: The combination of vertical and horizontal reference points helps the eye center the sights faster, which supports quicker alignment under stress.
• Steel Construction: A steel sight body stands up better to daily carry, repeated holstering, and hard use than softer materials, making it a practical choice for service pistols.
• SUP Configuration: This taller sight format is suited to pistols that need a raised iron-sight setup, helping maintain a clear backup aiming solution when required by the handgun configuration.
• Square Rear Sight: The square rear profile gives a clean, familiar sight picture that is easy to read for precise alignment at typical defensive handgun distances.

About the Meprolight R4E Series

The Meprolight R4E series is an optimized-duty branch of Meprolight’s TRU-DOT pistol-sight range, developed for shooters who need a fast, readable iron-sight picture on defensive, duty, and concealed-carry handguns. Introduced in 2015, the R4E concept focuses on rapid alignment rather than a conventional three-dot layout, using five alignment elements that guide the eye into a centered sight picture more quickly.

Tritium illumination in both front and rear sights keeps the system visible in low light without switches or batteries, which is especially useful on a carry pistol that must remain ready at all times. The series uses a steel construction for durability on working handguns, and it is offered with green or orange tritium options depending on the preferred sight emphasis. Across the family, the R4E design is aimed at practical handgun use where fast presentation, immediate sight recognition, and dependable day-and-night visibility matter more than target-style sight pictures.

About the Meprolight Mepro R4E SUP for H&K VP9

The Meprolight Mepro R4E SUP for H&K VP9 is a dedicated tritium night sight set built for shooters who want a robust iron-sight solution on the VP9 platform. Its defining feature is the R4E five-element alignment layout, which gives the eye more visual references than a basic notch-and-post arrangement. In practice, that helps the shooter pick up alignment faster during a draw, in reduced light, or when shooting from compromised positions.

The self-illuminated tritium system keeps the sights visible around the clock without relying on batteries, making the setup well suited to defensive carry and service use. Because the illumination is always on, the pistol remains immediately usable in dark interiors, at dusk, or in transitional light where plain black sights can disappear. The square rear sight preserves a clean and familiar rear reference, helping balance speed with enough definition for deliberate shots.

Its steel housing is an important practical advantage on a working handgun. Steel resists wear from repeated holster use and supports long-term durability on a pistol that may see regular training or daily carry. The SUP configuration provides a raised sight format for applications that call for taller handgun sights, while the black finish keeps the overall appearance subdued and duty-oriented. For VP9 owners who want dependable backup sights with constant low-light visibility, this model is built around readiness, durability, and fast visual indexing.
