Meprolight HVS for Kimber K6/ Dasa, front sight

• Self-Illuminated Tritium: The front sight stays visible in low light and darkness without batteries, helping maintain a clear aiming reference for defensive carry or home use at any hour.
• High-Visibility Front Sight: The HVS design emphasizes the front sight for faster visual pickup, which helps shorten sight alignment time when speed matters most.
• Steel Construction: A steel body stands up better to daily carry, holster wear, and repeated recoil than softer materials, making it a practical choice for a working handgun.
• Fixed Sight Design: The fixed configuration keeps the setup simple and durable, with no adjustment controls to snag or shift during routine carry and handling.
• Kimber K6 / DASA Fit: Built for the compatible Kimber platform, this front sight offers a model-specific upgrade for shooters who want improved visibility without changing the handgun’s handling.

About the Meprolight HVS Series

The Meprolight HVS series, later renamed Hyper-Bright in 2021, was developed as a handgun sight family focused on fast front-sight acquisition in both daylight and low-light conditions. Introduced around the 2020 SHOT Show, the series brought Meprolight’s pistol-sight experience into a format aimed at defensive carry, duty use, and general range shooting where quick visual indexing matters more than complex adjustment features.

These sights use steel construction and a self-illuminated tritium system, so they remain usable around the clock without batteries. Across the family, the design centers on a bright, easy-to-find front sight, with contrasting front-ring color options used to draw the eye quickly during presentation. In standard front-and-rear sets, the series commonly uses a three-dot arrangement with a U-shaped rear notch, balancing speed at close range with enough precision for deliberate pistol shooting. The result is a practical pistol-sight line built for shooters who want a durable, always-on iron-sight upgrade.

About the Meprolight HVS for Kimber K6/ Dasa, front sight

The Meprolight HVS for Kimber K6/ Dasa, front sight is a dedicated tritium front sight for shooters who want a more visible aiming point on a compatible carry handgun without changing to a bulkier sighting system. Because this model is a front sight only, its main advantage is direct: it makes the front blade easier to find quickly, which is especially useful during fast presentation, low-light carry, and defensive practice where the eye naturally needs to lock onto the front sight first.

The use of self-illuminated tritium means the sight remains visible in darkness and transitional light with no batteries, switches, or charging routine. In practical terms, that gives the handgun a constant reference point for bedside use, concealed carry, or range sessions that extend into dim conditions. The fixed design also suits a defensive revolver or pistol setup well, since it avoids added controls and keeps the sight robust under regular recoil and daily handling.

Its steel housing supports long-term durability against holster contact, cleaning, and general carry wear, while the black finish keeps the overall appearance subdued. For owners of the compatible Kimber K6 / DASA platform, this front sight serves as a straightforward visibility upgrade that preserves the handgun’s familiar profile while improving sight acquisition where it counts most.
