Meprolight HVS for Glock 42/43

• Self-Illuminated Tritium: The sight picture stays visible in low light and darkness without batteries, giving the shooter a consistent reference for defensive carry, home protection, or range use.
• High-Visibility Three-Dot Layout: The three-dot arrangement with a U-shaped green rear sight helps the eye center the front sight quickly, making sight alignment faster under stress.
• Steel Construction: A steel body stands up well to daily holster wear, repeated slide cycling, and hard use, which matters on a compact carry pistol that is handled often.
• Fixed Sight Design: The fixed configuration keeps the setup simple and durable, with no adjustment controls to snag or shift during everyday carry.
• Glock 42/43 Fit: Built for the slim Glock 42 and 43 platform, this sight set gives these compact pistols a more visible aiming system than standard low-profile factory sights.

About the Meprolight HVS Series

The Meprolight HVS series, later renamed Hyper-Bright, is Meprolight’s answer for shooters who want a pistol sight that remains easy to pick up in both bright daylight and reduced light. The family was developed around the idea of a high-visibility sight picture rather than a purely low-light sight, so the design combines bold front-sight emphasis with self-illuminated tritium elements that work without batteries.

Across the series, models are built with steel housings for duty, carry, and training use, and they are offered for a wide range of popular handgun platforms. The system uses a three-dot arrangement with a U-shaped rear notch, a layout intended to help the shooter draw the eye naturally to the front sight while still keeping the rear reference clear. Depending on the version, the front sight is available with contrast-ring color options such as orange, green, or yellow, allowing users to choose the visual emphasis that suits their shooting style. In practical terms, the HVS/Hyper-Bright concept is about fast acquisition, simple operation, and dependable visibility from daylight through low-light conditions.

About the Meprolight HVS for Glock 42/43

The Meprolight HVS for Glock 42/43 is tailored to the slimline defensive pistol format, where fast sight pickup matters more than extra bulk or complexity. On compact handguns such as the Glock 42 and Glock 43, the shorter sight radius can make alignment feel less forgiving, so a clear and intuitive sight picture becomes especially important. This model addresses that with a fixed three-dot configuration that is easy to read quickly and remains consistent from one draw to the next.

The sight set uses self-illuminated tritium, which means the dots remain visible in darkness and transitional light without switches or batteries. That is a practical advantage on a carry pistol, because the sights are always ready and there is nothing to activate under pressure. The green U-notch rear sight helps frame the front sight cleanly, encouraging fast centering while still giving enough structure for deliberate aimed fire at the range.

Steel construction supports the role of this handgun sight set on pistols that are carried daily, holstered repeatedly, and exposed to regular slide manipulation. The black finish keeps the body visually subdued while the illuminated elements do the work of drawing the eye. For shooters upgrading factory Glock sights, this model offers a more visible and more durable aiming system suited to concealed carry, defensive practice, and general handgun use.

About Meprolight

Meprolight was founded in 1990 as a supplier of sights and battle optics to the Israel Defense Forces. Based in Or Akiva, Israel, the company develops and manufactures optical and electro-optical sighting systems for military, law-enforcement, and civilian users. The company’s expertise covers a broad range of aiming products, including pistol sights, rifle and shotgun sights, reflex optics, magnified optics, night-vision systems, and thermal devices. That background is relevant to handgun night sights because Meprolight’s product design has long focused on durable, practical sighting systems that work in defensive and field conditions.
