Maven RS4 5-30x56 FFP

• 5-30x magnification range: covers close target acquisition at the low end and precise shot placement at extended distance, making the scope suitable for competition, long-range practice, and open-country hunting.
• First focal plane reticle: the reticle scales with magnification, so holdovers and wind references stay accurate throughout the zoom range for faster corrections in changing conditions.
• 56 mm objective with ED glass: the large objective and extra-low-dispersion glass help maintain image brightness, contrast, and target definition when light fades or mirage makes fine detail harder to read.
• 34 mm main tube: provides the internal adjustment range needed for dialing at distance while also giving the scope the mechanical strength expected from a hard-use tactical riflescope.
• Side parallax and illuminated reticle: side focus sharpens the image from 13.7m to infinity, while red and green illumination helps keep the aiming point visible against dark targets or complex backgrounds.

About the Maven RS4 Series

The Maven RS4 series was introduced in 2020 as part of Maven’s RS Series elite riflescope line. It was built for shooters who need a scope that can move between long-range competition, deliberate target work, and serious hunting without changing its core handling. Across the series, Maven centered the design around a first focal plane layout, giving shooters consistent reticle subtensions through the magnification range for dialing or holding at distance.

Shared RS4 features include ED glass, precision-milled adjustments, solid click detents, and durable anodizing. In practice, that combination gives the series a clear emphasis on repeatable tracking, dependable mechanical feel, and optical clarity that supports reading trace, spotting impacts, and resolving small target details. Maven also offered the RS4 with both MOA- and MIL-based reticle options, including SHR-W, MOA-2, SHR-MIL, and CFR-MIL, so the series appeals to shooters with different ranging and correction preferences. Within Maven’s lineup, the RS4 sits as a purpose-built long-range riflescope family rather than a general hunting optic, with the magnification range, reticle system, and adjustment design to support precise work well beyond ordinary field distances.

About the Maven RS4 5-30x56 FFP

The Maven RS4 5-30x56 FFP is a long-range riflescope built around a 5-30x zoom range and a 56 mm objective lens, a combination that gives it both flexibility and precision. At lower magnification it remains usable for scanning a wider area or settling quickly behind the rifle, while the upper end gives the image scale needed for small targets, exact aiming points, and careful shot correction at extended distance. The large objective helps preserve brightness as magnification rises, which matters when shooting in poor light or trying to separate target detail from shadow and background clutter.

This version uses a first focal plane illuminated reticle, so hold marks remain proportionally correct throughout the zoom range. That is especially useful for shooters who alternate between dialing and holding, or who need to make fast wind calls without returning to one fixed magnification. The side parallax adjustment, which runs from 13.7m to infinity, helps sharpen the target image and reduce aiming error across a broad range of distances.

The scope’s 34 mm tube supports generous internal adjustment, with 35.50 mrad of elevation travel available for long-range dialing. Maven pairs that with capped turrets in a single-turn layout, which suits shooters who want a cleaner profile and added protection against accidental movement during transport or field use. Fully multicoated lenses, nitrogen filling, and waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction round out a design intended for practical use in changing weather and demanding shooting environments.

About Maven

Maven Outdoor Equipment Company was founded in 2013 and is based in Lander, Wyoming. The company focuses on sport optics, including binoculars, spotting scopes, riflescopes, rangefinders, and monoculars. Maven is known for a direct-to-consumer business model, but its reputation in optics comes from how it builds and checks its products rather than from sales structure alone.

For its higher-end lines, including the B, S, and RS families, Maven uses Japanese components and has assembly carried out in a military-standard facility in San Diego. The company also inspects and tests these optics for quality assurance at its headquarters in Lander. In the riflescope category, Maven is particularly associated with practical long-range designs that combine strong optical quality, straightforward reticle systems, and durable mechanical construction for hunting and precision shooting applications.
