MAKlassic Pivot upper parts, Zastava 70, SB Convex Rail

• Pivot mount design: The two-piece pivot layout lets the optic be removed and reattached in a repeatable way, which is useful for rifles that alternate between scoped and open-sight use or need compact transport.
• Steel construction: A steel build gives the upper parts the rigidity needed for secure scope support and long service life under regular hunting and field use.
• Adjustable windage: Built-in lateral adjustment helps align the optic precisely with the rifle, reducing the need to use excessive internal scope correction and preserving more reticle adjustment range.
• 15.50 mm build height: The low overall height helps keep the scope close to the bore, supporting a more natural cheek weld and steadier shooting position.
• Schmidt & Bender Convex Rail interface: The upper parts are made for optics with the S&B Convex Rail, giving a secure rail-based connection without separate scope rings.

About the MAKlassic Series

MAKlassic is MAK’s traditional line of two-piece pivot mounts for rifles and break-action firearms. Documented in MAK catalogues by 2019, the series is built around the idea of a mechanically simple, repeatable mounting system that suits hunters and shooters who want a classic mount layout rather than a one-piece tactical platform. Across the range, MAKlassic mounts are offered in versions with rotating locks and lever locks, giving users different handling preferences while keeping the same basic pivot-mount concept.

The series covers a broad spread of rifle-specific configurations, with versions catalogued for particular firearm models as well as different optic interfaces. MAK also offers MAKlassic variants for scope tubes and optic rails, along with multiple mount heights and front-foot offsets. That makes the series especially practical for traditional sporting rifles where fit, bolt clearance, and sight line matter as much as raw strength. In use, the MAKlassic concept focuses on a secure steel mounting solution that keeps the optic close to the rifle while preserving the familiar handling of a classic hunting setup.

About the MAKlassic Pivot upper parts, Zastava 70, SB Convex Rail

The MAKlassic Pivot upper parts for Zastava 70 with S&B Convex Rail are designed for shooters who want to pair a traditional pivot-mount system with a rail-equipped Schmidt & Bender optic. Instead of using conventional rings, this version is built around the S&B Convex Rail interface, which provides a clean, secure connection for compatible scopes and simplifies alignment on the upper assembly. That makes it a strong fit for hunting rifles where dependable scope positioning and tidy overall setup are priorities.

The mount uses a steel construction, which is well suited to repeated field use and the recoil demands of centerfire bolt-action rifles such as the Zastava M70 platform. Its 15.50 mm height helps keep the optic low over the action, supporting a more stable head position behind the scope and a more natural cheek weld. The 0 MOA inclination keeps the setup neutral, which suits general-purpose hunting and stalking applications where a straightforward zeroing arrangement is preferred over built-in cant for extended-range dialing.

A further practical advantage is the adjustable windage. By allowing lateral alignment at the mount, the system can help center the scope more effectively over the rifle, which in turn preserves more of the optic’s internal adjustment travel. In the field, that means a cleaner setup, less compromise during zeroing, and a mounting solution that matches the traditional handling of a sporting rifle while accommodating a modern rail-equipped scope.

About MAK

MAK is a German brand associated with Kilic Feintechnik GmbH in Schwebheim, Germany. The company develops and manufactures optical mounts, optics, and electronic products, with a product range aimed at civilian and government users including hunters, sports shooters, and professional customers. Within its catalogue, MAK combines standardized products with customized solutions for specialist applications, which reflects a strong focus on practical engineering rather than a single product niche.

The wider MAK Group identifies patented solutions across its optics, mounts, and electronics. Its mounting lines include products such as MAKuick quick-release mounts and MAKmilmont monoblock mounts for Picatinny rails, while its optics portfolio extends to MAKdot red-dot sights, MAKstorm prism sights, and MAKpro riflescopes. The company also produces electronics such as the MAKcam, showing that its expertise reaches beyond mounting hardware into complete sighting and observation systems.
