MAKlassic 2 piece Pivot Mount, Rotation lock, Steyr Classic SBS , 30.0 mm

• Two-piece pivot design: The separate front and rear bases keep the rifle’s action area clear and let the optic be removed or reattached in a controlled, repeatable way.
• Rotation lock system: The rotating lock secures the mount positively, helping the scope stay firmly seated under field use while still supporting the practical advantages of a pivot mount.
• Steel construction: A steel build gives this mount the rigidity and wear resistance needed for long service life on a hunting rifle that sees regular mounting and dismounting.
• 30 mm scope fit: The mount is configured for 30 mm scope tubes, making it suitable for many modern hunting optics while preserving a clean, rifle-specific installation.
• Steyr-specific interface: Built for Steyr Classic SBS and related Steyr models, it provides a model-matched mounting solution that supports secure fit and dependable alignment.

About the MAKlassic Series

MAKlassic is MAK’s traditional line of two-piece pivot mounts for rifles and break-action firearms. Documented in MAK catalogues by 2019, the series is built around the idea of a rifle-specific mounting system that combines a classic profile with practical repeatability for hunters who want to remove an optic when needed without changing the character of the firearm. Within the range, MAK offers versions with rotating locks and lever locks, along with configurations for both scope tubes and optic rails.

The series is also notable for its breadth of fitment. MAK catalogues list MAKlassic mounts for specific rifle models, and the line includes different mount heights and front-foot offsets to suit varying receiver geometries and scope dimensions. That makes the series especially relevant for hunting rifles where bolt clearance, objective bell position, and overall handling matter just as much as secure attachment. In practical use, MAKlassic mounts appeal to shooters who prefer a classic pivot-mount concept, solid steel construction, and a rifle-matched solution rather than a universal rail-based setup.

About the MAKlassic 2 piece Pivot Mount, Rotation lock, Steyr Classic SBS , 30.0 mm

The MAKlassic 2 piece Pivot Mount is a rifle-specific mounting solution designed for Steyr Classic SBS-pattern rifles and configured for 30.0 mm scope tubes. Its layout suits traditional hunting rifles where a low, clean installation and dependable return to position matter more than bulk or unnecessary adjustment features. Because it is built as a two-piece pivot mount, it preserves the slim handling qualities of the rifle and keeps the receiver area less cluttered than many one-piece alternatives.

A key feature of this version is the rotation lock. In practice, that gives the user a positive locking interface that supports secure optic retention during transport, repeated field use, and normal recoil cycles. For hunters who remove a scope for storage, travel, or switching setups, a pivot system like this offers a practical balance between accessibility and mechanical consistency. The steel construction further supports that role by providing the stiffness and wear resistance expected from a mount intended for long-term use on a working rifle.

This model is also shaped by its rifle-specific compatibility. Rather than acting as a generic ring set, it is intended to match the receiver geometry of compatible Steyr rifles, helping create a more integrated fit. Combined with its 30 mm ring format, that makes it a sensible choice for pairing a modern hunting riflescope with a classic Steyr platform while maintaining a traditional mounting style.

About MAK

MAK is a German brand associated with Kilic Feintechnik GmbH in Schwebheim, Germany. The company develops and manufactures optical mounts, optics, and electronic products, serving civilian and government markets that include hunters, sports shooters, and professional users. Its product range extends beyond mounting systems to lines such as MAKuick quick-release mounts, MAKmilmont monoblock mounts for Picatinny rails, MAKdot red-dot sights, MAKstorm prism sights, and MAKpro riflescopes.

That breadth is relevant here because it shows MAK’s focus on complete sighting and mounting solutions rather than isolated accessories. The MAK Group also identifies patented solutions among its optics, mounts, and electronics, and it develops both standardized products and customized solutions for professional use. In the sporting optics world, MAK is particularly associated with German-made mounting systems that emphasize precise fit, durable construction, and application-specific design.
