MAK Rear Pivot Base for Sako 85/75

• Model-specific fit: This rear pivot base is made for a defined group of Sako 75 and Sako 85 rifles, which helps maintain correct alignment within the MAK pivot-mount system and supports a secure, repeatable installation.
• Steel construction: The steel body gives the base the rigidity needed in a critical mounting interface, helping the optic stay stable under recoil and during repeated removal and refitting.
• Low-profile geometry: With a 5.00 mm height and compact 22.00 mm length, the base supports a neat, close-to-bore setup that helps preserve handling and keeps the rifle from feeling top-heavy.
• 0 MOA configuration: The 0 MOA inclination suits standard hunting and general sporting rifle setups where a level mounting platform is preferred over built-in cant.
• Part of the MAKlassic system: Designed for MAKlassic and MAKflex applications, this rear base forms part of a proven pivot-mount concept that allows the optic to be mounted with a clean mechanical interface matched to the rifle.

About the MAKlassic Series

MAKlassic is MAK’s traditional two-piece pivot-mount series, documented in the company’s catalogues by 2019 and built around rifle-specific fit rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. The series is intended for shooters who want a mechanically straightforward mounting solution for sporting rifles and break-action firearms, with versions tailored to particular firearm models and receiver layouts.

A defining characteristic of the MAKlassic series is its breadth of configuration. MAK catalogues the line with options for scope tubes and optic rails, along with different mount heights and front-foot offsets so the mounting geometry can be matched to the optic and rifle combination. The series also includes versions with rotating locks and lever locks, reflecting a design philosophy focused on secure engagement, practical handling, and compatibility across different rifle platforms. In use, that means a mount family aimed at hunters and sporting shooters who value a rifle-specific pivot system with clear mechanical logic and a compact overall profile.

About the MAK Rear Pivot Base for Sako 85/75

The MAK Rear Pivot Base for Sako 85/75 is the rear mounting element for a MAK pivot setup on a broad range of Sako 75 and Sako 85 rifles, as well as several earlier Sako actions. Its role is simple but important: it provides the correctly matched rear interface that allows the mount system to sit properly on the rifle and work as intended. Because this part is made for specific Sako models rather than as a generic base, it suits shooters who want a clean, model-correct installation on classic hunting rifles and sporting bolt actions.

The base is made from steel, which is a practical choice for a high-stress contact point in a pivot mount. That material helps the assembly resist wear at the locking and bearing surfaces and supports consistent positioning over time. Its 22.00 mm length and 5.00 mm height keep the part compact, which matters on a hunting rifle where excess bulk can interfere with handling or spoil the balance of the setup. The 0 MOA inclination makes it suitable for conventional optic mounting where no additional cant is required, while the black finish keeps the appearance discreet and in line with traditional rifle-and-scope combinations. As part of the MAKlassic / MAKflex ecosystem, this rear base is best suited to shooters building or maintaining a dedicated pivot-mount arrangement for Sako rifles.
