Lockdown Large Keyd Handgun Vault

• Reinforced steel construction: The steel housing adds rigidity and resistance to prying, making the vault a practical choice for storing a handgun securely at home or while traveling.
• Key-lock access: A keyed locking system keeps operation straightforward and dependable, with immediate access when the key is on hand and no batteries or electronics to manage.
• Portable large-format design: The compact outer profile and large interior footprint make it easier to carry in a bag while still accommodating many full-size handguns.
• TSA-compliant travel use: Meeting TSA airline requirements makes the vault useful for lawful transport, so the same case can serve both home storage and travel needs.
• California DOJ approval: California Department of Justice approval adds reassurance that the vault meets a recognized standard for handgun security and storage.

About the Lockdown Accessories Series

Lockdown Accessories is a broad family of storage and support products built for use in gun safes, vaults, and firearm storage areas. Rather than focusing on one single type of product, the series covers the practical needs that surround secure firearm ownership, from organization and lighting to humidity management and compact security solutions. That makes it a flexible part of the Lockdown lineup for shooters who want to improve how firearms and related gear are stored, protected, and accessed.

Within the series, the emphasis is on products that solve everyday storage problems in a direct way. Some models monitor temperature and humidity, others add light inside dark vault interiors, and others help control moisture over time. In that context, security-focused items such as handgun vaults fit naturally into the range. The series is defined less by one technology than by a shared design purpose: practical firearm storage, space-efficient organization, and equipment that works reliably in enclosed storage environments. For users building out a safe room, organizing a gun cabinet, or adding a portable lockable storage option, Lockdown Accessories provides complementary tools that support a more controlled and orderly setup.

About the Lockdown Large Keyd Handgun Vault

The Lockdown Large Keyd Handgun Vault is a portable steel handgun safe designed for owners who need a simple, physical locking solution for a pistol at home, in a vehicle, or during travel. Its format suits users who prefer a keyed vault over electronic or combination systems, whether for mechanical simplicity or because they want access that does not depend on batteries. The larger footprint is especially useful for full-size handguns and similar pistol formats that may not fit comfortably in smaller travel vaults.

The housing is made from steel, which gives the vault the durability expected from a handgun security product and helps it stand up better to routine transport and storage use. Lockdown also positions this model for travel, and the vault meets TSA airline requirements, allowing it to serve as more than a bedside or closet storage option. For owners who move between home, office, range, and travel, that versatility matters because one vault can cover several roles instead of being limited to a fixed location.

Its keyed lock keeps operation direct and familiar, with no programming or code memorization required. The official product information also notes California Department of Justice approval, which adds confidence for buyers looking for a recognized compliance benchmark in a portable handgun vault. At 260.00 mm in length and with a weight of 1600.00 g, it remains manageable to carry while still offering the substance and stability expected from a reinforced handgun storage case.

About Lockdown

Lockdown is a brand in the American Outdoor Brands Defender brand lane, focused on security and storage solutions for firearm owners. The brand’s range extends beyond simple locking products to include firearm organization systems, lighting, and moisture-control equipment for safes, vaults, and storage rooms. That broader focus is important because it places Lockdown in the practical side of firearm ownership: not only securing guns, but also storing them in a more orderly and controlled environment.

The brand is also known for products such as SecureWall storage components and humidity-management tools designed for vault interiors. In connected storage products, the Lockdown LOGIC app links compatible devices so one product can trigger another, showing that the company works across both traditional mechanical storage and newer monitoring solutions. American Outdoor Brands is headquartered in Columbia, Missouri, United States, and Lockdown’s product direction reflects that emphasis on firearm security, storage efficiency, and environmental control.
