Kite Optics K6 2-12x50i HD

• 6x zoom range: The 2-12x magnification span covers close woodland shots as well as more deliberate shooting across open ground, so one riflescope can handle varied hunting distances.
• 50 mm HD objective: The larger front lens and 93% light transmission help maintain a bright image at dawn and dusk, when game is often most active and shot placement becomes more demanding.
• Illuminated 4A reticle with APC: The red illuminated aiming point stands out clearly in poor light, while the automatic illumination control helps conserve battery power and keeps the scope ready for field use.
• Second focal plane reticle: The reticle keeps the same visual size throughout the zoom range, which many hunters prefer for a consistently clean sight picture at higher magnification.
• Compact 30 mm hunting build: With a 30 mm tube, capped turrets, nitrogen filling, and waterproof, fogproof, shockproof construction, the scope is built for practical use in changing weather and rough transport.

About the Kite Optics K6 Series

The Kite Optics K6 series is a current family of hunting and sporting riflescopes built for shooters who want a broad zoom range without moving to oversized optics. Positioned as one of the company’s more refined riflescope lines, the K6 range is made in Japan and is aimed at hunters and competitive shooters who need dependable optical performance across different distances and light conditions. The series includes four models, from 1-6x up to 2.5-15x, giving it a useful spread from driven-hunt style shooting to more deliberate field use.

A defining feature of the series is APC (Angle Power Control), which adjusts illumination according to the scope’s position and works with an automatic shutoff after 3 hours. K6 models also include a low-battery warning, which is a practical detail for riflescopes that may spend long periods in the field. Across the range, Kite Optics uses PERMAVISION, PERMARESIST and MHR Advance+ coatings to support image clarity, surface durability and low-light performance. Every listed K6 model uses an illuminated 4A reticle in the second focal plane, reflecting the series’ focus on straightforward aiming, clean sight pictures and hunting-oriented usability rather than tactical complexity.

About the Kite Optics K6 2-12x50i HD

The Kite Optics K6 2-12x50i HD is the most versatile all-round configuration in the K6 family for hunters who split their time between shorter woodland shots and more measured shooting over fields, edges and mixed terrain. Its 2-12x magnification range gives enough low-end speed for quick target acquisition while still providing the upper-end precision needed for careful shot placement at longer distances. Paired with a 50 mm objective lens, the scope is especially well suited to dawn and dusk use, where image brightness and contrast matter more than headline magnification alone.

The optical system combines 93% light transmission, a fully multicoated lens package and a field of view from 18.70 m/100m to 3.20 m/100m. In practice, that means a broad view for scanning at low power and enough image scale for more exact aiming when zoomed in. The 4A reticle in the second focal plane stays visually consistent across the zoom range, which helps many hunters keep a familiar sight picture instead of watching the reticle grow thicker as magnification rises. Red illumination improves reticle visibility against dark game or shaded backgrounds, and APC automatic control with shutoff helps manage battery use during long days outdoors.

Mechanically, this model follows a practical hunting layout. Capped turrets protect the settings from accidental movement in a rifle slip or on a stalk, while the 0.10 MIL / 10 mm per 100 m click value still allows precise zeroing. A fixed 100 m parallax setting keeps operation simple, and the 30 mm tube, 590 g weight, nitrogen filling, waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction make it a sensible choice for hard field use in changing weather.

About Kite Optics

Kite Optics is a Belgian family-owned company founded in 1992 and headquartered in Jabbeke, Belgium. The company developed its reputation through high-precision optics for nature observation and later expanded that expertise across a broader range that includes binoculars, spotting scopes, riflescopes and red-dot sights. Its catalogue combines both stabilized and traditional optics, which reflects a design approach focused on practical field use rather than a single product niche.

Within hunting optics, Kite Optics offers several riflescope families, including K6, K4, B6 and B6 LR. The company’s K6 riflescopes are crafted in Japan, and the line is known for features such as APC automatic illumination control that responds to the scope’s position and switches off after 3 hours. That mix of European product direction and Japanese riflescope manufacturing helps explain the brand’s place in the market: field-oriented optics with a strong emphasis on dependable mechanics, clean optical performance and straightforward operation.
