Keck Optics RS Precision 5-30x56

Feature Highlights

• Second Focal Plane Reticle: The IR-G2A reticle maintains a constant size at every magnification, keeping the sight picture uncluttered and making it easy to use as a consistent aiming reference from 5x through 30x.
• Zero Stop Elevation Turret with Locking Windage: The elevation turret returns reliably to a pre-set zero after dialing, while the push-lock windage turret prevents accidental adjustment during transport or recoil.
• 34mm Main Tube: The larger tube diameter supports a wide adjustment range and adds mechanical strength compared to standard 30mm tubes.
• Illuminated Reticle with Adjustable Brightness: Multiple illumination levels let the shooter match reticle brightness to ambient light, useful for low-light hunting situations at dawn or dusk.
• Fully Multi-Coated HD Lenses with Nano Coating: Supports over 90% light transmission and reduced glare, contributing to a brighter, higher-contrast image at long range.

About the RS Precision Series

The RS Precision series is Keck Optics' line of riflescopes built for medium- to long-range shooting, spanning multiple magnification ranges and objective lens sizes across both 30mm and 34mm main tube diameters. The series includes models in both first focal plane (FFP) and second focal plane (SFP) configurations, giving shooters a choice between a reticle that scales with magnification for consistent holdover values, or one that stays a fixed size for a cleaner sight picture at all zoom settings.

Across the range, RS Precision scopes share a common set of features: fully multi-coated (FMC) HD glass with nano coating for improved light transmission, a nitrogen-purged, waterproof tube for use in variable weather, and a zero stop turret system for fast, repeatable elevation adjustments. Larger-objective models in the 34mm tube diameter, such as this 5-30x56, additionally use a locking windage turret to guard against unintentional movement in the field.

The series is intended for hunters, long-range shooters, and sport shooters who want a first or second focal plane riflescope with practical adjustment ranges and illuminated reticle options, without the price point of premium optics brands.

About the Model (KECK Optics RS Precision 5-30x56 SFP, IR-G2A)

The RS Precision 5-30x56 SFP pairs a wide 6x zoom ratio with a large 56mm objective lens, giving shooters flexibility to work from closer, faster target acquisition at 5x up to precise long-range engagement at 30x, while maintaining a bright image thanks to the larger objective.

The IR-G2A reticle sits on the second focal plane, so its size stays constant regardless of magnification setting. This keeps the reticle from becoming too fine at low power or overly large and obstructive at high power, and it suits shooters who prefer a single consistent aiming reference rather than one that scales with zoom. The reticle offers 11 illumination levels, allowing brightness to be tuned to the target and background contrast in a wide range of lighting conditions.

Adjustments are made in 1/10 MRAD clicks, with approximately 26 MRAD of elevation travel and 17.4 MRAD of windage travel, giving enough range for typical long-range hunting and precision shooting distances. The elevation turret uses a zero stop mechanism, letting the shooter dial back to a pre-set zero without counting clicks, while the windage turret is push-lock, locking the setting in place to prevent accidental adjustment from recoil or contact in the field.

The scope uses fully multi-coated (FMC) HD glass with nano coating to improve light transmission and reduce glare, and parallax is fixed from approximately 10 yards to infinity, so no separate parallax adjustment is required at typical shooting distances. The 34mm main tube is nitrogen-purged and sealed to a 1-meter waterproof rating, supporting use in wet or humid conditions.
