IOR TX Raider 2.0 3-25x56 FFP Product description

  • 3-25x magnification range: This wide zoom span covers close-to-mid distance target acquisition at 3x and detailed shot placement at 25x, making the scope suitable for mixed hunting and long-range tactical shooting.
  • First focal plane illuminated reticle: The FFP layout keeps reticle subtensions consistent throughout the zoom range, so holdovers and corrections remain valid at any magnification, while red illumination helps the aiming point stand out in poor light.
  • 40 mm main tube with 40 mrad adjustment: The large tube gives this riflescope substantial elevation and windage travel, which is useful for dialing at distance and for rifles set up for extended-range shooting.
  • Locking tactical turrets with Zero Stop: Exposed turrets, 0.10 mrad clicks and a positive return-to-zero system support fast, repeatable corrections in the field without losing the original zero.
  • 56 mm objective and fully multicoated optics: The large objective and coated lenses help maintain image brightness and contrast, especially at higher magnification and during low-light shooting periods.

About the IOR Tx Raider Series

The IOR Tx Raider series sits in IOR’s tactical riflescope range and is built for shooters who need a combination of wide magnification range, precise turret control and a mechanically robust platform. These scopes are aimed at long-range and precision-oriented use, where repeatable tracking, practical reticle subtensions and dependable adjustment travel matter as much as optical clarity. The series reflects IOR’s preference for heavy-duty construction, including large main tubes and tactical turret layouts intended for regular dialing rather than occasional zeroing.

Within the lineup, the Tx Raider concept focuses on versatility. A first focal plane reticle allows the shooter to use holds at any magnification, which is especially useful when distance, target size or shooting position changes quickly. Illuminated reticle options add flexibility in dim backgrounds, while side parallax adjustment supports a sharper image and more precise aiming across a broad range of distances. The optical design emphasizes a practical balance of field of view, exit pupil and high-magnification detail, giving the series a clear role in tactical optics, long-range target work and demanding hunting applications where one scope may need to cover very different shooting scenarios.

About the IOR TX Raider 2.0 3-25x56 FFP

The IOR TX Raider 2.0 3-25x56 FFP is configured as a highly flexible long-range riflescope for shooters who want one optic to handle both observation and precise engagement. Its 3-25x magnification range gives it a broad working envelope: the low end remains manageable for scanning and shorter shots, while the top end provides the image scale needed for careful shot placement, target identification and reading detail at extended distance. The 56 mm objective supports brightness at higher magnification, where smaller exit pupils can otherwise make the image less forgiving.

This model is built around a first focal plane reticle with red illumination, a combination that favors practical holdovers and corrections under changing field conditions. Because the reticle scales with magnification, the shooter can use the same subtensions throughout the zoom range instead of being tied to one specific power setting. Side parallax adjustment from 20 m to infinity helps reduce aiming error and keeps the target image better defined across short and long distances.

The mechanical layout is equally focused on precision use. Locking tactical turrets, 0.10 mrad clicks, Zero Stop and 40 mrad of elevation and windage travel make the scope well suited to dialing corrections repeatedly and returning to zero with confidence. A fast-focus eyepiece speeds reticle sharpening, while the nitrogen-filled, waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction supports reliable use in rough weather and hard field conditions.

About IOR

IOR is a Romanian optics manufacturer headquartered in Bucharest, and the company traces its origins to 1936, when it was founded in the same city. It was later nationalized in 1948, and over time it developed a broad optics portfolio that includes products for both civilian and military use. In the sporting segment, IOR produces riflescopes for hunting and sport shooting, alongside tactical riflescopes and reflex sights.

A defining part of IOR’s identity in this category is its emphasis on robust riflescope construction and distinctive optical design choices. The company states that its riflescopes use German Schott glass, and it also notes that it introduced riflescopes with 35 mm and 40 mm main tubes as well as 6x, 7x, 8x and 10x zoom riflescopes with parallax adjustment on the central tube. Beyond commercial optics, IOR also manufactures military optical equipment for infantry, artillery and armored vehicles.

Most common questions (Q&A)

Need help? Not sure about something? Don't hesitate - ask our community! Our experienced community is here to help you with this question.

What is the difference between the IOR Raider 2 , 3-25 and the Ranger Compact 3-25 . What QD medium rings/one piece mount do you recommend with a tilt level built in . I normally use a medium or low 0 MOA AI mount on my Rem700 builds with one piece 34mm QD Mount (20 MOA rails) but I am unsure of how to allow for the erector spring housing on the 40mm IORs and get the lowest possible, useable, cheek weld . Are there any issues shipping to the UK . I am a VAT registered UK business with a UK EORI number ? I build around 10 precision rifles per year .

by Graham

Hi! How does this scope compare with the tube focus recon and crusader optically? Are mechanics and reliability good? I haven't seen many reviews on this one. Thanks.

by Greg

Please note that both TX Raider and Crusader have recently been updated and redesigned. Both models now have a side focus parallax. The optical quality of the Raider and Crusader riflescopes is very much alike, while the Recon model is not as good.

by Optics Trade team

Thanks! Is the weight really 1.25kg? Reason I ask is one German site has them listed as 1050g instead of 1250g. That and the much bigger crusader and terminator are apparently the same weight.

by Greg

Unfortunately, we do not have the product in stock but according to the manufacturer's website, the correct weight is 1250g.

14mrad elevation is this correct?

by Hans

This riflescope has approximately 41 milliradians of elevation and around 15 milliradians of windage adjustments.

by Optics Trade team

I am considering the purchase of an IOR Valdada TX Raider Gen 2 3-25x56 FFP scope. I would be mounting the scope on a picatinny rail and would like your HEIGHt recommendation of 40mm monomounts in either Spuhr or Tier One. Also your recommendation of scope caps for both ends of that scope. I would like to order these things in one order. Thank you in advance for your response.

by George

The BH height of your mount should be at least 11 mm. Unfortunately, flip-up covers are not available for this scope. Please note that this model comes with the "bikini" lens covers by default.
