ABOUT THE MODEL (HOLOSUN IRIS 2)

The Holosun IRIS 2 is a compact dual-laser aiming device available in two configurations: the IRIS-RD2, which pairs a visible 635nm red laser with an infrared laser, and the IRIS-GR2, which pairs a visible 520nm green laser with the same infrared laser. Both versions use a Class 3R visible laser (<5mW) for a crisp daylight aiming point and a Class 1 infrared laser (800–880nm) designed for use with night vision equipment.

Because the visible and IR lasers are co-aligned, both aiming points can be zeroed together using only the visible laser during daylight, removing the need for separate IR zeroing in low light. Activation is handled through a center-mounted ambidextrous fire button supporting both momentary and constant-on operation, along with a rear mode selector switch for adjusting laser modes and power settings. A Crane-plug compatible pressure pad is included for remote activation, giving the user flexibility in how the device is triggered on the rifle.

The housing is built from 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard-anodized finish, redesigned to be 45% lighter and 21% lower profile than Holosun's earlier LS221 series, improving handling and reducing the device's footprint on the rail. The IRIS 2 is rated IPX8 for waterproofness and 1000G for vibration resistance, supporting dependable operation in demanding field environments. Power is supplied by a single CR123A battery, accessed through a front cap for quick replacement, and the device mounts directly to a Picatinny rail.
