ERAMATIC Swing (Pivot) mount, Picatinny Rail Product description

  • Pivot design: The ERAMATIC swing mount lets the optic be removed and reattached in a repeatable way, which is useful when switching between a scope setup and open access to the rifle.
  • Picatinny rail interface: The upper section accepts optics and accessories that use the widely adopted Picatinny standard, giving the mount broad compatibility across sight types.
  • Steel construction: A steel body favors long-term rigidity and wear resistance, helping the mount stay stable under regular field use and repeated mounting cycles.
  • Low 13.50 mm build height: The compact BH height keeps the optic close to the bore, supporting a more natural cheek weld and a more controlled shooting position.
  • Model-specific lower fit: This ERAMATIC version is made for a defined group of rifle platforms, which helps provide a secure mechanical fit without unnecessary adaptation parts.

About the ERAMATIC Standard Series

ERAMATIC Standard is Recknagel’s established family of two-piece swing mounts, developed for hunters and shooters who want a removable optic mount with a traditional mechanical layout. Within the broader Recknagel range, the series is aimed at rifles that benefit from a pivoting mount concept rather than a fixed one-piece solution. The design is especially relevant on classic sporting rifles and similar platforms where a compact, repeatable mounting system is preferred.

A defining trait of the series is its swing-away attachment principle, which allows the mounted optic to be taken off and put back on while keeping the handling of the rifle tidy and familiar. Recknagel offers ERAMATIC mounts for many rifle makes and action types, making the series one of the company’s more adaptable hunting-oriented mounting systems. Different locking variants are used across the line, and the concept focuses on secure engagement, practical repeatability, and a clean fit to the firearm. In use, the series suits shooters who want the flexibility of a removable optic mount without moving to a bulkier tactical-style base.

About the ERAMATIC Swing (Pivot) mount, Picatinny Rail

The ERAMATIC Swing (Pivot) mount, Picatinny Rail combines the classic ERAMATIC pivot concept with a Picatinny rail upper, making it a practical choice for shooters who want more freedom in optic selection. Instead of being limited to a dedicated ring size, this version accepts optics or accessories designed for the Picatinny standard, which is useful when changing between different sighting systems or when an optic already has its own rail clamp.

Its steel construction emphasizes mechanical strength and long service life, especially in a component that is repeatedly opened, closed, removed, and reinstalled. The 13.50 mm BH height keeps the setup relatively low, which helps maintain a stable head position behind the optic and avoids adding unnecessary bulk above the receiver. With KR 0.0 mm extension, the mount stays neutral in its fore-and-aft layout, suiting rifles and optics that do not require additional offset.

This model does not use adjustable windage, so the design remains straightforward and mechanically clean. That simplicity can be an advantage on a rifle where the priority is a solid, repeatable interface rather than extra adjustment at the mount itself. As a result, this ERAMATIC mount fits well into hunting and sporting rifle setups that need a durable pivot mount with the flexibility of a Picatinny rail on top.

About ERA-TAC

ERA-TAC is a brand of Recknagel GmbH & Co. KG in Bergrheinfeld, Germany. Recknagel was founded in 1867 in Albrechts near Suhl, and the company has long specialized in firearm sights, mounts, and related accessories. After relocating to Schweinfurt in 1948 and later to Bergrheinfeld in 2006, the business continued to expand its focus on mounting solutions for hunting, sporting, and tactical firearms.

The ERATAC line was introduced in 2010 for civilian and military users and includes tactical mounts, Picatinny rails, backup sights, and weapon accessories. This background is relevant here because it shows the brand’s emphasis on precise mounting interfaces and practical firearm integration rather than optics alone. Within the shooting equipment market, ERA-TAC is known for German-made mounting systems built around repeatability, robust construction, and compatibility with modern sighting platforms.

Do you have a Qd picatinny rails for the r93?

by Paul

Dear Paul,

thank you for contacting us.

As a matter of fact, this indeed is a quick-detachable Picatinny rail from ERA-TAC. It is suitable for the Recknagel Pivot bases, meaning that you need to use the Blaser R8 and R93 Pivot bases and then you can install this particular rail.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at [email protected]. We are here to help.

Hi, I previously ordered and mounted on my Bergara 14 (same mounting as Remington 70 SA) the ERAMATIC One-Piece Swing mount, Remington 700 S.A., Pivot locking system, Recknagel G9-Plus. I want to know if the ERAMATIC Swing (Pivot) mount, Picatinny Rail, for Remingtin 700, 78 is compatible. In other words, can I use the same mounting hardware and simply switch between the two mounts?

by Anthony

Dear Anthony,

thank you for contacting us.

You can use the same ERAMATIC mount, however, please make sure your rifle is of a short or long-action type.
