Element Optics Theos 2-10x42 FFP

• 2-10x MPVO versatility: The broad magnification range covers close, fast shots at the low end and more deliberate aiming at distance on 10x, making the scope suitable for practical rifle work, hunting optics use, and compact precision setups.
• First focal plane MPR-1D reticle: Because the reticle scales with magnification, holdovers and ranging references stay consistent throughout the zoom range, which helps when targets or shooting positions change quickly.
• Diffractive illumination: The illuminated red aiming point is designed to remain clear across the zoom range and in changing light, giving a more usable center reference without overpowering the sight picture.
• RevTrak turrets with zero stop: The turret system is built for repeatable dialing, while the integrated zero stop makes it faster to return to a known baseline after elevation corrections in the field or on the range.
• Compact 34 mm build: A 290.00 mm scope length with a 34 mm tube gives more mounting flexibility on modern rifles while still providing the adjustment range and mechanical strength expected from a tactical riflescope.

About the Element Optics Theos Series

The Element Optics Theos series sits at the top of the company’s riflescope range, developed for extreme long-range shooting and precision competition. In this family, Element Optics focuses on robust mechanics, practical reticle design, and a feature set aimed at shooters who dial regularly and expect repeatable tracking. The current line includes first focal plane models built around a 34 mm main tube, with RevTrak turrets that combine an integrated revolution indicator with a zero stop for clearer turret management under pressure.

Within the series, the concept is not limited to one style of shooting. The larger 6-36x56 model addresses dedicated long-range work, while the 2-10x42 brings the same design philosophy into a more compact mid-power format. Depending on the model, the series uses purpose-built reticles such as APR-2D or MPR-1D, matching the optic to either extended-distance precision or faster target engagement. Across the range, Theos scopes are defined by a tactical layout, first-focal-plane functionality, and optical systems intended to deliver a clean, usable image rather than unnecessary bulk.

About the Element Optics Theos 2-10x42

The Element Optics Theos 2-10x42 is the compact, mid-power member of the Theos family, built as an FFP MPVO for shooters who need speed at short to intermediate distances without giving up precise holds. Its 2-10x magnification range makes sense on practical carbines, lightweight precision rifles, and hunting rifles that may be used across varied terrain. At 2x, the scope remains quick to acquire and easy to run from improvised positions; at 10x, it gives enough image scale for more exact shot placement and target observation.

A major part of this model’s character is the MPR-1D reticle with red diffractive illumination. In a first focal plane layout, the reticle’s subtensions remain valid through the zoom range, so holdovers and corrections do not depend on staying at one preset magnification. That is especially useful for practical shooting stages and field shots where there is no time to reset and confirm magnification before every engagement. The illuminated center helps the eye pick up the aiming point more quickly in dim backgrounds or mixed light.

Mechanically, this Theos is configured for serious dialing despite its compact size. The RevTrak turrets, zero stop, and 43.00 mrad elevation range support repeatable elevation changes, while 29.00 mrad windage adjustment gives ample lateral correction. Side parallax adjustment from 10m to Infinity helps keep the image and reticle relationship consistent from very short distances out to long range. The fully multicoated optical system, 42.00 mm objective, and generous 82-97 mm eye relief round out a scope that balances compact handling with the control expected from tactical optics.

About Element Optics

Element Optics AB is based in Mariestad, Sweden, and the company develops optics for sporting, hunting, and competition shooting with both airguns and firearms. Its product range includes riflescopes, electro-optics, rangefinders, binoculars, and shooting accessories, with riflescope families such as Helix, Titan, Nexus, and Theos. The design team draws on input from Sweden, South Africa, and the United States, which reflects the brand’s focus on practical features shaped by different shooting disciplines and environments.

Element Optics began work on its first riflescope, the Nexus, in 2018. Since then, the brand has built its reputation around purpose-driven reticles, durable mechanical systems, and optics configured for real use rather than simplified catalog specifications. In the riflescope category, that approach is especially visible in models like the Theos, where turret design, focal-plane choice, and reticle layout are intended to support repeatable field and match performance.
