EAW Fixed Base for Rings, Blaser Product description

  • Blaser-specific fit: This fixed base is built around the Blaser mounting standard, giving EAW ring users a clean way to mount compatible optics on rifles such as the Blaser R93, Blaser R8 and related platforms without altering the rifle.
  • Compatible with EAW ring tops: The base works with EAW Ø 7 mm interface ring assemblies, making it a practical foundation when replacing worn parts or building a mount around existing EAW rings.
  • Aluminium construction: The aluminium body keeps weight down while still providing the rigidity needed for a stable optic platform on hunting rifles and combination guns.
  • Low 9.00 mm height: The 9.00 mm build helps keep the optic close to the bore, which supports a natural cheek weld and a more compact overall setup.
  • 0 MOA inclination: With 0 MOA built in, this base suits straightforward optic mounting where a neutral alignment is preferred over a canted long-range setup.

About the EAW Blaser Mounts Series

EAW Blaser Mounts are designed as a dedicated alternative to the original saddle-style solution used on Blaser R93 and R8 rifles. The series focuses on giving shooters a modular mounting system that fits the rifle without modification, which is especially important for owners who want to preserve the factory interface while choosing a mount layout that suits their optic and shooting style.

Within the range, EAW offers versions with rings, models for scopes with a prism rail, and selected configurations with Weaver or Picatinny tops. The series also includes adapters for certain red-dot sights, so it covers both traditional riflescope setups and more compact sighting systems. Depending on the model, the mount may be secured with clamping screws for a fixed installation or use adjustable levers where repeat removal is required. That makes the Blaser line relevant for hunters who change optics between outings, as well as for users who want a simpler fixed arrangement built around EAW’s interchangeable upper components.

About the EAW Fixed Base for Rings, Blaser

The EAW Fixed Base for Rings, Blaser is a dedicated lower mounting component for shooters who want to use EAW rings on a rifle built around the Blaser mounting standard. Rather than being a complete mount on its own, this part forms the interface between the rifle and compatible EAW upper ring sections, which makes it especially useful for repairs, replacements, or custom mount configurations based on existing EAW components.

Its 9.00 mm height keeps the setup relatively low, which helps maintain a solid head position behind the scope and avoids adding unnecessary bulk to the rifle. The aluminium construction reduces weight compared with heavier all-steel parts, an advantage on hunting rifles that are carried for long periods or used with compact optics. A 0 MOA inclination keeps the base neutral, so it suits general-purpose riflescope mounting where the goal is a straightforward optical alignment rather than extra elevation bias for extended-range dialing.

In practical use, this base is best suited to owners of compatible rifles such as the Blaser BB 97, Blaser R8, Blaser R93, Blaser K95, Sauer 505 and Jakele J1 who already rely on the EAW system. Because it is made for the EAW Ø 7 mm interface, it gives those users a direct way to retain the familiar EAW ring architecture while matching it to the correct rifle-specific lower base.

About EAW

EAW was founded by Ernst Apel in Würzburg, Germany, in 1919. The company produced its first riflescope mounts in 1945, and since 1951 the development and production of scope mounts have been its main focus. That long specialization is central to EAW’s reputation: the brand is closely associated with mechanical mounting solutions for sporting rifles and has built its name around repeatable fit, precise machining and broad rifle compatibility.

Over time, EAW expanded its range to include pivot mounts, slide-on or roll-off mounts and claw mounts for riflescopes. Production moved from Würzburg to Gerbrunn in 1970, and Ernst Apel GmbH is now headquartered in Eibelstadt, Germany. In addition to traditional hunting mounts, EAW introduced a dedicated tactical mount line in 2023 and also offers thermal imaging products, but precision mounting systems remain the company’s core area of expertise.

Most common questions (Q&A)

Trying to order rings and bases for Blaser K95. It is unclear whether the price is for one base or a set of two. Have same question about the rings. Are they sold individually, or as a pair? Need to know whether I need to order two rings and two bases to mount scope, or just one of each because each comes with two.

This model SKU 185/152 is for the R93 Blaser (according to EAW website) Can you supply SKU 185/352 which is for the R8 Balser (according to EAW website)? Also, your site says material = Steel. On EAW website it says material = Dural Would you please let me know if I can order the R8 specific base (185/352)? Final question: Please let me know if these bases will accept the Dentler 36mm Dural or Steel rings? https://www.optics-trade.eu/au/dentler-dural-rings-36-mm.html https://www.optics-trade.eu/au/dentler-steel-rings-36-mm.html

by Brendan

We can order either of these mounts, however, please note that Blaser R8 and Blaser R93 share the same mounting platform which means that mounts for R8 will fit R93 and vice-versa.

The mount is indeed made of aluminium (Dural).

Unfortunately, we are unable to confirm if Dentler rings fit EAW Blaser bases - we also don't have them in stock at this moment to check it out for you.
