Dentler Mounting Rail BASIS TAC, 34 mm Product description

  • Modular BASIS interface: This mounting rail stays with the optic and locks onto a compatible Dentler BASIS or BASIS VARIO base, making it easier to move an optic between setups without changing the optic-side mount.
  • 34 mm ring format: Built for 34 mm scope tubes, it supports larger tactical and long-range optics while providing a secure platform for heavier premium riflescopes.
  • 0 MOA inclination: The neutral rail geometry suits general-purpose zeroing and standard hunting or sporting rifle setups where no built-in cant is required.
  • Aluminium construction: The aluminium body keeps weight under control while still giving the mount the rigidity needed for stable optic positioning in regular field use.
  • Low-profile fixed height: With a 14.70 mm build height and 31.70 mm overall height, it helps maintain a practical sight line without adding unnecessary bulk to the rifle.

About the - Series

Dentler BASIS is a modular mounting family developed for shooters who want a repeatable connection between rifle and optic without committing one scope to one firearm forever. The system is built around a firearm-specific base rail that remains on the rifle and an interchangeable optic mounting rail that remains on the sight. This approach gives the series its practical value: the optic can be removed, reinstalled or reassigned within the same Dentler ecosystem while keeping the mounting process consistent.

Within Dentler’s lineup, BASIS sits as the company’s core modular platform for hunting and sporting rifles, while BASIS VARIO extends the concept with continuous height and windage adjustment at the base level. The standard BASIS concept focuses on precise fit, repeatable clamping and broad compatibility across different optic formats and firearm-specific bases. For users running multiple riflescopes, red dots or specialist optics, the series offers a structured way to standardize mounting hardware while keeping the setup compact, robust and made for regular field handling.

About the Dentler Mounting Rail BASIS TAC, 34 mm

The Dentler Mounting Rail BASIS TAC, 34 mm is a fixed optic-side mount intended for shooters using a 34 mm riflescope within the Dentler modular system. Its role is straightforward but important: it provides the connection between the scope tube and a compatible Dentler base interface, so the optic can be mounted with the geometry and fit the system is designed around. For rifles equipped with a Dentler base, this makes the rail a practical choice for users who want a clean, dedicated mounting solution for one optic while preserving the option to work within a modular platform.

The 0 MOA inclination makes this version especially suitable for standard rifle setups where the shooter does not need additional cant built into the mount. That suits general hunting, range use and conventional zero distances, while also simplifying scope setup. Its 14.70 mm build height and 31.70 mm overall height help position the optic at a controlled, repeatable level above the rifle, which matters for cheek weld, eye alignment and overall handling.

Built from aluminium and finished in black matte, the mount balances low visual signature with reduced weight compared with heavier all-steel designs. At 147.00 mm in length, it provides a stable mounting footprint for larger 34 mm scopes often used in precision-oriented or tactical-style rifle setups. Because windage adjustment is not built into this rail, the design stays simple and solid, with alignment handled by the broader Dentler mounting system rather than by extra moving parts in the optic rail itself.

About Dentler

Dentler Jagdwaffen was founded in 2011 by Daniel Dentler and is based in Leutkirch im Allgäu, Germany. The company focuses on modular riflescope mounting systems for hunting firearms, with its best-known platforms being BASIS and BASIS VARIO. Dentler’s design approach centers on separating the rifle-side base from the optic-side mount, allowing a structured, system-based way to pair different optics with compatible firearms.

The brand is particularly known for offering mounting solutions across a wide range of optic and firearm formats. Its rails are available for interfaces including Aimpoint, Pulsar, Swarovski, Zeiss and Weaver/Picatinny, and the company supports rifles from makers such as Benelli, Browning, Merkel, Heckler & Koch and Rößler. That specialization has given Dentler a clear reputation in the hunting optics and mounting segment: practical German-made mounting hardware built around compatibility, repeatability and modular use.

Hello. Will Zeiss LRP S3 6-36x56 fit this mount? I'm a bit worried about spacing between mount rings. I need at least 48 mm for turret housing. Also, I want to mount it on Tikka Tac (with Dentler 20 MOA Basis for picatinny). Cant find the base thickness anywhere. The bell for this scope is 65 mm + I need to take into account forward tilt of 20 MOA base. Will it fit without touching the forend rail of a Tikka Tac? Thank You!

by Edijs

Dear Edijs,

thank you for contacting us.

This mount will fit nicely as it is about 15 mm high, which will be sufficient in combination with Dentler BASIS. The total height with the BASIS will be around 23 mm.

Good morning, Is the Dentler Basis TAC mounting rail 34mm will fit Vortex razor gen II 4,5-27x56 scope for the distance between mounts? What base 0MOA or 20MOA would you recommend for this scope and if 20MOA how long I will have to wait for this Base Rail Basis Picatinny? Kind Regards

by Tomasz

This mount will accommodate Vortex Razor 4.5-27x56 scope and the turrets of the scope fit nicely between the rings of this mount.

I would need the information on which rifle you are using and I would suggest BASIS VARIO base, which enables you to adjust the proper inclination. You can get the maximum elevation from the scope this way.

We have most of these bases always in stock. If anyone is missing we usually restock in around 10 days.
