DAA Race Master/Alpha X Holster Insert Block for Laugo Arms Alien

• Dedicated Alien fit: This insert block is made for the Laugo Arms Alien, giving the holster the correct contact points for secure retention and a clean, repeatable draw in competition use.
• Works with two DAA holster platforms: It fits both the Race Master and Alpha-X systems, making it practical for shooters who already use either platform and want to keep the same holster setup.
• Fast platform conversion: The insert-block system lets the holster be adapted to a different pistol type without replacing the whole holster, which saves setup time and keeps belt positioning familiar.
• Magnetic insert-block design: Used with the latest-generation DAA race holsters, the magnetic block concept helps guide the pistol into place smoothly and supports confident reholstering between stages.
• Durable polymer construction: The polymer body keeps weight low while standing up to repeated draws, practice sessions and match-day handling.

About the Race Master / Alpha-X Series

The Race Master and Alpha-X series represent Double Alpha Academy’s dedicated approach to competition pistol holsters for IPSC and USPSA use. These systems are built around speed, repeatability and extensive adjustment, giving shooters a platform that can be positioned precisely on a rigid competition belt. Rather than using a generic one-size-fits-many shell, the series relies on a model-specific insert block system so the holster can be matched to the pistol type in use.

Within the lineup, the Race Master established the core concept, while the Alpha-X developed it further with updated holster geometry and mechanical refinements. A key characteristic shared by both is the use of the latest-generation magnetic insert blocks, which support smooth holstering and make it easier for shooters to move between compatible pistols without replacing the entire holster body. The series is aimed squarely at practical shooting competitors who value a fast draw, secure retention and a setup that can be tuned to their stance, belt position and match discipline.

About the DAA Race Master/Alpha X Holster Insert Block for Laugo Arms Alien

The DAA Race Master/Alpha X Holster Insert Block for Laugo Arms Alien is a dedicated conversion component for shooters who run DAA race holsters with the distinctive Laugo Arms Alien pistol. Its purpose is straightforward but important: it gives the holster the correct internal interface for this specific handgun, so retention, release feel and draw consistency are aligned with the pistol’s shape rather than compromised by a universal fit.

In practical terms, that matters most on the clock. A properly matched insert block helps the pistol seat in the same position each time, which supports a more predictable grip acquisition and a cleaner first movement out of the holster. Because it is compatible with both the Race Master and Alpha-X holster families, it also makes sense for competitors who already own one of these platforms and want to configure it for an Alien without changing the rest of their rig.

The polymer construction keeps the part light and resistant to wear from repeated practice and match use. As part of DAA’s interchangeable insert concept, this block also makes multi-pistol ownership easier to manage: the shooter can keep the same holster platform and belt setup while changing only the pistol-specific insert. For practical shooting, that means less disruption to a familiar draw position and more consistency from training to competition.
