Crimson Trace LS-250 Lasersaddle

• Receiver-mounted Lasersaddle design: The LS-250 mounts directly to compatible Mossberg receivers, adding a visible aiming reference without changing the shotgun’s basic handling or blocking normal operation.
• Ambidextrous instant activation: Multiple rear and side activation points let the laser come on naturally as the shotgun is gripped, which helps speed up target acquisition under stress.
• User-adjustable windage and elevation: Precise adjustment allows the laser to be matched to the shotgun and load, so point of aim can be tuned for realistic defensive or field distances.
• 5 mW Class 3R red laser: The 633 nm red beam provides a clear, fast reference for close-range aiming, especially when shooting positions are awkward or sight alignment is slower than usual.
• Master On/Off switch with included batteries: A dedicated shutoff switch prevents unnecessary drain during storage, while the supplied CR2032 batteries keep the unit ready for installation and use.

About the Lasersaddle Series

Crimson Trace Lasersaddle sights are purpose-built laser aiming units for pump-action shotguns, designed for shooters who want a dedicated aiming aid without replacing the firearm’s core controls or adding a bulky rail-mounted accessory. In the Crimson Trace lineup, the series sits as a shotgun-specific solution alongside the company’s handgun and long-gun laser products, with a design focused on fast target indexing, natural activation, and compatibility with common defensive shotgun platforms.

The defining trait of the Lasersaddle series is its receiver-mounted housing with integrated activation pads positioned for practical use from either side. That layout supports instinctive operation during mounting, movement, or one-handed manipulation around cover. Rather than relying on magnified optics or electronic reticles, these units use a visible laser to simplify aiming at close distances where speed matters most. The series also emphasizes user-adjustable windage and elevation, compact external form, and compatibility with accessories such as side saddles or top rails on suitable setups. For defensive shotguns, training guns, and utility builds, Lasersaddle models provide a straightforward way to add a visible aiming reference while preserving the familiar feel of the host firearm.

About the Crimson Trace LS-250 Lasersaddle

The Crimson Trace LS-250 Lasersaddle is a red laser sight made specifically for Mossberg 500, 590, and 590 Shockwave 12 Gauge and 20 Gauge shotguns with a drilled and tapped receiver. Its main advantage is that it places the aiming laser in a stable receiver-mounted position, so the shotgun keeps a clean profile while gaining a fast visual reference for close-range work. This is especially useful for defensive use, low-light movement, and unconventional shooting positions where a traditional bead sight may be slower to pick up.

The unit uses a 5 mW, 633 nm Class 3R red laser with an approximate 0.50" dot at 50', giving the shooter a clear point of aim that is easy to interpret at typical shotgun distances. Adjustable windage and elevation allow the laser to be regulated to the firearm and chosen load, which matters on shotguns because point of impact can vary with ammunition type and intended zero distance. The housing includes multiple ambidextrous activation pad points for immediate engagement and a Master On/Off switch for storage or transport.

In practical use, the LS-250 is built to stay out of the way. Crimson Trace highlights that it does not interfere with side saddles or top rails, which makes it easier to integrate into defensive shotgun setups that already carry extra ammunition or other accessories. With an aluminium housing and about 4 hours of battery life, it is a compact, purpose-specific shotgun laser that prioritizes speed, simple controls, and platform-specific fit.

About Crimson Trace

Crimson Trace was established in 1994 and built its name around firearm laser sights and firearm-mounted lights. Its best-known product families include Lasergrips, Laserguard, and Rail Master, each aimed at integrating visible aiming aids into practical carry, defensive, and sporting firearms. A defining part of the brand’s design approach is Instinctive Activation, which uses pressure pads placed so the laser can be engaged with a normal firing grip rather than a separate, slower control input.

Beyond lasers, Crimson Trace also produces riflescopes and rangefinders, showing a broader focus on shooting optics and aiming equipment. The company operates a facility in Columbia, Missouri, United States, and remains closely associated with purpose-built sighting systems designed around specific firearm platforms and real handling requirements.
