Crimson Trace LG-422 Laserguard

• Instinctive Activation: The front activation pad places the laser under the trigger guard so it comes on with a normal firing grip, giving faster target reference without changing hand position.
• Compact Laserguard design: This model fits close to the pistol and keeps bulk low, which helps preserve concealability and makes it better suited to everyday carry handguns.
• Adjustable windage and elevation: User-adjustable alignment lets the laser be matched to the pistol and ammunition setup, so point of aim can be tuned for practical defensive distances.
• 0.50 MOA laser dot: A fine aiming point supports more precise placement than a larger dot, which is useful when shooting at small targets or confirming alignment at longer handgun ranges.
• Aluminium construction: The housing adds durability around a hard-use carry pistol while keeping the unit light and resistant to everyday knocks and handling.

About the Laserguard Series

Crimson Trace Laserguard sights are built as compact, firearm-specific laser units that mount at the trigger guard area and are shaped to integrate closely with the host pistol. Within the company’s handgun laser lineup, the series sits as a streamlined option for shooters who want a dedicated aiming laser without the added size of larger rail-mounted accessories. A defining feature across the range is Instinctive Activation, which places the control where it can be engaged naturally from a normal shooting grip rather than through a separate, slower manual step.

The series is aimed primarily at defensive carry pistols and compact handguns, where low bulk, fast access and simple operation matter more than added complexity. Laserguard models are typically offered in red or green laser variants depending on the application, and they are designed around model-specific fit rather than a one-size-fits-all clamp system. That approach helps keep the profile tight to the frame and supports consistent activation. In practical use, the Laserguard family is valued for giving the shooter a visible aiming reference in low light, from unconventional shooting positions, or when sight alignment is slower than ideal under stress.

About the Crimson Trace LG-422 Laserguard

The Crimson Trace LG-422 Laserguard is a red handgun laser sight built for the SIG SAUER P365 line, combining a compact footprint with the fast handling expected from a concealed-carry pistol. Its close-fitting form helps the pistol remain easy to carry and draw, while the trigger-guard-mounted layout keeps the laser accessible without adding unnecessary width. For a defensive handgun, that matters because the sighting aid is available immediately, yet the pistol still handles like a carry gun rather than a range-only setup.

The unit uses front Instinctive Activation, so the laser can be engaged as part of a normal firing grip. In practice, this means the shooter can bring the pistol on target and gain a visible reference without shifting the hand to find a separate switch. The 633.00 nm red laser is configured in a Laser Only mode for straightforward operation, and the 5.00 mW Class 3R output keeps the system focused on clear aiming assistance rather than extra controls. The 0.50 MOA dot provides a refined aiming point that supports careful shot placement, while windage and elevation adjustment allows the laser to be zeroed to the pistol for practical carry distances.

Its aluminium housing adds durability for daily carry and repeated handling, and the retractable design contributes to a neat, integrated profile. Altogether, the LG-422 suits shooters who want a simple, pistol-specific laser sight that emphasizes fast activation, compact dimensions and precise alignment on a carry-oriented handgun.

About Crimson Trace

Crimson Trace was established in 1994 and built its reputation around firearm laser sights and firearm-mounted lights. The company’s handgun-focused product families include Lasergrips, Laserguard and Rail Master, each aimed at integrating aiming or illumination tools directly onto the firearm with minimal disruption to handling. One of its most recognizable design ideas is Instinctive Activation, which uses pressure pads positioned so the unit can be engaged from a normal shooting grip. In addition to laser sights and lights, Crimson Trace also offers riflescopes and rangefinders. The company operates a facility in Columbia, Missouri, United States, and remains closely associated with practical sighting systems for defensive, sporting and field use.
