Crimson Trace LG-105 Lasergrips For Smith And Wesson J-Frame Round Butt

• Instinctive Activation: the front activation button turns the laser on as the revolver is gripped normally, so the sight is ready without adding extra steps under stress.
• Grip replacement design: the LG-105 replaces the factory grip rather than adding a rail-mounted unit, keeping the Smith & Wesson J-Frame compact and easier to draw cleanly from concealment.
• 5mW red laser: the 633nm Class 3R beam provides a clear aiming reference for close-range defensive shooting, especially when sight alignment is difficult or shooting positions are compromised.
• Hard polymer construction: the smooth polymer surface is rugged and snag-free, helping the revolver move cleanly out of a pocket, holster or handbag.
• User-adjustable windage and elevation: built-in adjustments let the laser be matched to the revolver and load, so point of aim can be tuned for practical carry distances.

About the Lasergrips Series

Crimson Trace Lasergrips are built for shooters who want an aiming laser without changing the basic handling of their handgun. In the company’s lineup, the series sits as a dedicated grip-integrated solution for revolvers and pistols where a rail-mounted unit would add bulk or alter the draw. The defining idea is simple: keep the firearm’s original profile as intact as possible while adding a visible laser that activates naturally in the hand.

Across the series, Instinctive Activation is a key feature. Pressure pads are positioned so the laser comes on with a normal firing grip, which makes the system faster to use in defensive situations and easier to integrate into regular presentation drills. Depending on the model, Lasergrips are offered for a wide range of carry guns, service pistols and compact revolvers, with fit tailored to specific frames. The series is especially well suited to concealed-carry handguns and small-frame revolvers, where preserving compact dimensions matters. By combining a grip-mounted format, practical activation and model-specific fit, Lasergrips remain a focused option for defensive handguns that need a laser sight without unnecessary external bulk.

About the Crimson Trace LG-105 Lasergrips For Smith And Wesson J-Frame Round Butt

The Crimson Trace LG-105 is designed specifically for Smith & Wesson J-Frame round butt revolvers, a platform widely chosen for discreet carry and personal defense. Its main advantage is that it adds a laser sight while preserving the compact shape that makes a J-Frame practical in the first place. Because the unit replaces the grip panels, it avoids the extra width and protrusions often associated with accessory-mounted lasers, which helps maintain a clean draw from concealment.

This model uses a front-located Instinctive Activation button, so the laser engages as the revolver is gripped in a normal firing hold. In practical use, that means less conscious input is required when presenting the firearm, which is particularly valuable at close range or in low-light conditions where iron sights can be slower to pick up. The 5mW peak, 633nm red laser provides a visible aiming reference suited to defensive distances, and the dot size of approximately 0.50" at 50' supports precise indexing without making the beam overly coarse.

The hard polymer grip gives the LG-105 a smooth, durable exterior that resists snagging on clothing during the draw. Windage and elevation adjustments allow the laser to be aligned to the revolver, and the grip format keeps controls simple and protected. For a lightweight defensive revolver, the LG-105 offers a practical way to add faster target indexing while keeping the handgun compact and easy to carry.

About Crimson Trace

Crimson Trace was established in 1994 and built its reputation around aiming lasers and illumination tools for firearms. The company’s product range includes laser sights and firearm-mounted lights, with well-known lines such as Lasergrips, Laserguard and Rail Master, as well as the Lightguard family of dedicated weapon lights. A defining part of the brand’s approach is Instinctive Activation, which places the activation control where it can be engaged with a normal shooting grip rather than as a separate step.

Beyond handgun laser systems, Crimson Trace also offers riflescopes and rangefinders, showing a broader focus on shooting and hunting optics. The company operates a facility in Columbia, Missouri, United States, and remains closely associated with practical sighting systems designed to integrate cleanly with defensive and sporting firearms.
