Crimson Trace Brushline Pro 2.5-8x28 BDC

• Compact 2.5-8x range: The low starting magnification helps with fast target pickup at short distance, while 8x gives enough precision for careful shot placement when the range opens up.
• 28 mm objective with fully multicoated lenses: The compact front end keeps the scope trim and easy to mount, while the lens coatings support better contrast and light transmission in typical hunting light.
• Second focal plane BDC reticle: The reticle stays visually consistent through the zoom range, making it easy to see quickly against game and practical for hunters who prefer a familiar sight picture.
• Capped turrets and side parallax: Capped adjustments protect zero during transport and field carry, while the 50 YD side parallax setting supports a sharper image for close- to mid-range use.
• Lightweight 1-inch design: With a 25.4 mm tube and 325.00 g weight, this riflescope keeps overall rifle weight down and suits compact hunting or stalking setups.

About the Crimson Trace Brushline Series

The Crimson Trace Brushline series is positioned as a hunting scope series built around straightforward field use, practical reticle choices, and familiar hunting-scope proportions. In Crimson Trace’s lineup, Brushline sits apart from the Brushline Pro family and focuses on classic hunting configurations such as 3–9× and 4–12× models with 40 mm or 50 mm objective lenses. That makes the series a natural fit for general-purpose hunting rifles where balanced size, simple controls, and dependable optical performance matter more than highly specialized competition features.

Across the series, Crimson Trace uses second-focal-plane reticles, 1-inch tubes, and non-illuminated reticles, giving the scopes a familiar layout for hunters who want a clean sight picture and uncomplicated operation. The line includes both CT Custom BDC and CT Custom BDC Rimfire reticle options, including designs that use diamond aiming references to provide multiple hold points. In practice, the Brushline concept emphasizes useful holdover capability, conventional mounting dimensions, and an optical package intended for hunting rifles carried in the field rather than set up purely for bench shooting.

About the Crimson Trace Brushline Pro 2.5-8x28 BDC

The Crimson Trace Brushline Pro 2.5-8x28 BDC is a compact riflescope built for rifles or specialty hunting setups where low weight, short overall length, and quick handling matter. Its 2.50 x to 8.00 x magnification range covers the kind of distances where a wide, easy sight picture at the low end is useful, but extra precision at the top end still helps with deliberate shot placement. At 246.40 mm long and 325.00 g, it keeps the rifle lively in the hands and avoids the front-heavy feel that larger optics can create.

The optical layout combines a 28.00 mm objective lens with fully multicoated glass, a practical choice for maintaining contrast and image clarity in a compact format. The SFP reticle arrangement keeps the reticle visually consistent as magnification changes, which many hunters prefer because the aiming pattern remains easy to read at any setting. This model is also non-illuminated, so operation stays simple and there is no need to manage brightness settings in the field.

Mechanically, the scope uses a 25.4 mm tube and capped turrets, a combination that suits hunting use where the priority is protecting adjustments from accidental movement. The listed 15.00 MOA elevation and windage range reflects a scope intended for practical field zeroing rather than extended dialing. A side parallax adjustment with a 50 YD setting helps sharpen the target image for closer work, making this model especially suitable for compact hunting rifles, stalking setups, or other applications where modest magnification and small overall size are more important than long-range dialing features.

About Crimson Trace

Crimson Trace was established in 1994 and built its reputation around firearm aiming and illumination products. The company is known for firearm laser sights and firearm-mounted lights, with product families such as Lasergrips, Laserguard, Rail Master, and Lightguard forming the core of its identity. It also produces riflescopes and rangefinders, extending that focus into hunting optics and shooting equipment.

A notable part of the brand’s design approach is Instinctive Activation, which uses pressure-pad placement intended to work with a normal shooting grip. Crimson Trace operates a facility in Columbia, Missouri, United States, and its product range reflects a long-standing specialization in practical sighting systems for firearms. In the riflescope category, that background shows in optics designed around straightforward field use, familiar controls, and configurations aimed at hunters and shooters who value compact, purpose-built equipment.
