Bushnell Prime 6-18x50 Product description

  • 6-18x magnification range: Covers the gap between load development, varmint shooting, and longer hunting shots, giving a useful low end for scanning and enough top-end magnification for precise aiming at distance.
  • 50 mm objective lens: Helps maintain a bright sight picture as magnification increases, which is especially useful in the first and last light periods when game is most active.
  • Side focus parallax adjustment: Lets the image and reticle be brought onto the same focal plane from 13.7m to infinity, reducing aiming error and making fine shot placement easier at varied distances.
  • Multi-X reticle: Keeps the view uncluttered for fast target acquisition while still providing a clear central aiming point for general hunting and range use.
  • Fully multi-coated optics with waterproof, fogproof construction: Improve contrast and light transmission while helping the scope stay usable in rain, temperature changes, and rough field conditions.

About the Bushnell Prime Series

Bushnell Prime sits in the brand’s hunting-focused optics range as a practical series built around dependable field performance rather than specialized competition features. Introduced in 2018, the Prime lineup brought together the core elements many hunters want in a general-purpose riflescope: second-focal-plane reticles, fully multi-coated optics, waterproof construction, and nitrogen fog-proofing. Across the series, Bushnell offered familiar hunting magnification ranges such as 3-9x40, 4-12x40, and 6-18x50, allowing the line to cover everything from woodland stalking to more deliberate shooting across open ground.

A defining trait of the series is its straightforward mechanical layout. Prime riflescopes favor simple, proven reticle options such as Multi-X, with side parallax adjustment available on selected models for shooters who need better focus control at longer distances. Bushnell also specifies fully multi-coated lenses and the company’s EXO Barrier protective lens coating within the Prime riflescope family, supporting clearer viewing in wet or dusty conditions. In practical terms, the Prime series is aimed at hunters and recreational shooters who want a traditional riflescope format with useful magnification, reliable weather resistance, and uncomplicated operation in the field.

About the Bushnell Prime 6-18x50

Bushnell Prime 6-18x50 is the longer-range model in the Prime hunting riflescope family, built for shooters who need more precision than a basic deer scope usually provides. The 6-18x range makes it well suited to varmint control, zeroing and load testing, and hunting in open country where targets are often identified and engaged at greater distance. At the same time, the 50.00 mm objective helps preserve image brightness as magnification rises, so the higher end of the zoom range remains useful instead of becoming overly dim.

This model uses a Multi-X reticle, a classic uncluttered hunting pattern that keeps the sight picture open and easy to read. Because it avoids a busy holdover layout, it works well for shooters who prefer to dial or hold with a simple central reference rather than manage multiple aiming marks. The reticle is paired with capped target-style turrets that protect settings during transport and field carry while still allowing deliberate adjustment when sighting in or refining point of impact. With 1/4 MOA clicks and 39.00 MOA of elevation and windage adjustment, the scope offers enough correction for typical hunting and range applications within its intended role.

The side focus system adjusts from 13.7m to infinity, which is a major advantage on a scope of this magnification. It allows the shooter to sharpen the image and minimize parallax error as distances change, improving confidence on small targets. A 25.4 mm tube, 539.00 g weight, and 393.00 mm length keep the design familiar for standard one-inch ring setups, while the waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction supports dependable use in changing weather and regular hunting travel.

About Bushnell

Bushnell was founded in 1948 by Dave Bushnell, who began selling optical products from a photographic shop in Pasadena, California. The company developed into a major name in sports optics by focusing on practical products for hunting, target shooting, birding, and general outdoor observation. Its catalog has long covered the core categories shooters and field users rely on, including riflescopes, binoculars, red dot sights, rangefinders, spotting scopes, and trail cameras.

Within riflescopes and related optics, Bushnell is known for offering several clearly defined product families, including Legend, Prime, Elite Tactical, and AR Optics. The brand also developed proprietary technologies such as EXO Barrier, a lens coating designed to repel water, oil, dust, and debris so the optic stays easier to use in poor weather and dirty field conditions. In 2013, ATK completed its acquisition of Bushnell Group Holdings, but the Bushnell name has remained closely associated with accessible, field-oriented optics for hunters and shooters.
