ATN Mars 4 384 1.25-5x Product description

  • 384x288 thermal sensor: The 384x288 sensor gives this thermal riflescope enough detail for reliable target detection while keeping the image processing load manageable for fast scanning and practical field use.
  • 1.25-5x magnification range: Starting at 1.25x helps with close to mid-range observation and target acquisition, while 5x provides extra image scale for more deliberate shot placement without moving to a bulkier high-base-magnification scope.
  • 60 Hz refresh rate: A 60 Hz refresh rate keeps motion looking smoother when tracking moving animals or panning across terrain, which makes the image easier to interpret under real hunting conditions.
  • 18 h internal battery: The internal Li-ion battery is rated for 18 h of use, reducing the need for external power packs and making the scope better suited to long evenings in the field.
  • Smart HD recording functions: Built-in image capture, video recording and video output let the scope document shots, review observations and share footage without adding separate recording equipment.

About the ATN Mars 4 Series

ATN Mars 4 is ATN’s fourth-generation Smart HD thermal riflescope series, built for hunters and shooters who want thermal detection together with digital features that go beyond a conventional sight. Across the range, the series combines 384x288 or 640x480 thermal sensors with a 60 Hz refresh rate, giving users a choice between more compact entry points and higher-detail configurations for longer-range work.

A defining part of the series is its Obsidian IV dual-core thermal processor, which supports functions such as a ballistic calculator, one-shot zeroing and Recoil Activated Video. Mars 4 models also support simultaneous video recording and Wi-Fi streaming, and the series includes tools such as a smart rangefinder, electronic compass and profile manager. Within the family, ATN offers different objective lens sizes and magnification ranges, so the series covers everything from wider-field setups for shorter distances to more specialized configurations for identifying and engaging targets farther out. The result is a thermal hunting optic line that emphasizes practical digital assistance as much as raw thermal detection.

About the ATN Mars 4 384 1.25-5x

The ATN Mars 4 384 1.25-5x is the wider-field member of the Mars 4 thermal riflescope family, intended for users who need fast observation at shorter and medium distances rather than a narrow, high-magnification view. Its 1.25-5x magnification range and 19.00 mm objective lens make it well suited to scanning over feeders, field edges and woodland transitions where quick target pickup matters as much as image scale. With a stated detection range of 750.00 m, it provides enough reach for locating heat signatures well before a shot is taken.

The thermal core uses a 384x288 sensor with 60.00 Hz refresh, paired with a 1280x720 Micro - HD display. In practice, that combination gives a smoother image when following moving targets and a clear digital viewing surface for menus, reticle selection and recorded footage. The multi-reticle system allows the sight picture to be adapted to different rifles or shooting preferences, while image capture and 1280x960 @ 60 fps video recording make it useful for documenting hunts and reviewing shot placement afterward.

ATN also gives this model the practical advantages expected from a field thermal optic: an aluminium housing, waterproof and fogproof construction, and an internal Li-ion battery rated for 18.00 h. At 880.00 g and 332.00 mm long, it remains substantial enough for stable rifle mounting without becoming excessively large for a thermal scope with integrated digital functions.

About ATN

ATN was founded in 1995 in Silicon Valley, California. The company focuses on night-vision, thermal-imaging, and digital day-and-night optics, and its product range spans traditional image-intensifier night vision, digital night vision and thermal devices. This background is important in products such as the Mars 4, where thermal imaging is combined with onboard electronics rather than treated as a simple viewing core.

ATN’s digital optics portfolio includes 4K-resolution Smart HD systems for day-and-night use, and in 2018 the company introduced products built around its Obsidian 4 Dual Core platform. ATN is a United States company headquartered in Doral, Florida, and it is widely associated with feature-rich hunting optics that integrate recording, digital controls and sensor-based functions into one sighting system.
