We visited the Steiner booth at Shot Show 2024 to discover their new products. While the majority of Steiner’s innovations for the year were anticipated to debut at Jagd & Hund in Dortmund, which had not yet occurred by the time of Shot Show, Steiner still showcased two notable items at Shot Show – the T1Xi, a high-end small tube type red dot sight, and a premium magnifier. This article details the features of the T1Xi red dot.
Built like a tank
Steiner has a reputation for creating durable products, and this red dot sight upholds that legacy. The T1Xi is incredibly robust, built to endure extreme conditions. Its elevation and windage adjustment screws are flush with housing, enhancing its sturdiness. Naturally, the device is both waterproof and fogproof.
Mounting properties
T1Xi features the Aimpoint Micro mounting standard, ensuring that finding an after-market mounting solution for it is straightforward. It is supplied with a high, fixed mount for the Picatinny platform.
Illumination features
Steiner T1Xi provides a true 1x magnification and ensures a distortion-free view, making it easy to use with both eyes open. A side button allows for easy switching between reticle options – 2 MOA dot, circle dot, and circle only, catering to various uses. The illumination control is conveniently placed on top, facilitating adjustment by both left- and right-handed users. With a total of 11 illumination settings, it is possible to adjust the brightness to match any lighting condition (the lowest two settings are night vision compatible). The battery compartment is integrated into the illumination control knob, housing a CR2032 battery that boasts up to 50,000 hours of life.
Coming in March, 2024
In terms of quality, the T1Xi rivals the well-known Aimpoint Micro models. Priced at 699 € in Europe, it is slightly more affordable. T1Xi is expected to be available in March 2024. The warranty coverage extends to 10 years for the housing and 2 years for the electronic components.
