Despite its initial release in 2022 and the addition of new color variants in 2023, the EFLX remains a relatively recent entry into the market as EOtech’s first pistol red dot sight. With the growing popularity of optic-ready pistols, we believe it’s crucial to discuss the EFLX‘s characteristics on our blog. EOTech’s venture into reflex technology
Despite lacking EOTech’s signature holographic technology, the EFLX boasts several features typical of EOTech’s red dot sights. For instance, it maintains the same aspect ratio for the window, offering a broad field of view. EOTech has successfully addressed common reflex sight issues like color aberrations (such as blue or yellow tint), ensuring the EFLX provides a view that is both transparent and clear through the use of high-quality glass. EFLX’s body is constructed from high-quality aluminium.
Leupold DPP mounting standard
On the bottom surface, you will find the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro mounting standard – a well-known standard with numerous compatible plates available on the market.
EFLX’s illumination properties
EOTech provides two dot size choices – 3 MOA or 6 MOA, currently only in red illumination. The sight runs on a CR2032 battery, offering up to 25,000 hours of operation. Users can adjust the brightness through seven settings, with the control buttons conveniently positioned on the side. The battery compartment’s top location means the EFLX doesn’t need to be detached from the firearm for battery changes, eliminating the need for re-zeroing.
Premium, yet cost-effective
As far as the housing colour choice is concerned, the sight is available in black and FDE. Priced at 399 $ in the US, it offers remarkable value, especially for an EOTech product. In Europe, the price is slightly higher, approximately 500 €, which is still competitive given the range of features it includes.
