C-More RTS 3

C-more is widely recognized as one of the leading names in the world of red dot sights, boasting the slogan ‘world champion sights‘ to highlight the numerous shooting competition victories secured by its users. The RTS 2, an open reflex red dot sight by C-more, has been a popular choice for some time. At Shot Show 2024, I had the opportunity to visit C-more’s booth and learned about their latest innovation, an upgraded model dubbed the RTS 3. In this article, we are going to cover its features.

Designed to impress

The RTS 3 maintains its status as an open reflex red dot sight, with a size comparable to RTS 2, yet it introduces a fresh, contemporary design. A standout feature for me was its large, circular window that houses the aspherical lens. C-more rigorously tested the durability of this red dot before its release. Notably, Eric Grauffel, a renowned French sport pistol shooter, demonstrated its reliability by using it on his CZ Shadow 2, firing over 10,000 rounds without any issues, thereby showcasing its ability to remain fully functional throughout this rigorous testing. This durability can be largely credited to the high-quality construction of the device, with even the battery tray being crafted from aluminum. Additionally, no external locking screw is needed to hold the elevation and windage adjustment screws in place.

At the booth, I learned that the RTS 3 would come in three dot sizes – 3 MOA, 6 MOA, and 8 MOA. The RTS3 is equipped with two buttons for adjusting the illumination.

C-more mounting standard

The mounting standard for the RTS 3 remains consistent with that of the RTS 2, often dubbed the C-more mounting standard, a nod to their pioneering introduction of this design. It continues to be one of the most widely adopted mounting standards in the red dot sight industry, with numerous optic-ready pistols being supplied with a plate that accommodates it.

Expected in June, 2024

The C-more RTS 3 is expected to hit the shelves around June 2024, possibly sooner, though the precise release date has yet to be confirmed. Estimated to be priced at approximately 600 $ in the US, it will be positioned in a higher price bracket compared to the RTS 2, which will continue to be produced. After a decade in production, the RTS 2 still holds its own in the market. C-more offers arguably the best warranty for red dot sights in the industry, covering every part, including electronics, with a 30-year guarantee.
